Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena sikap intoleran siswa di sekolah berbasis agama yang seharusnya menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai islam yang rahmatan lil ‘alamin. Fenomena tersebut memperlihatkan ketidaksejalanan antara nilai-nilai islam dan perilaku siswa di sekolah yang mengajarkan lebih banyak nilai-nilai islam. Tujuan penelitian ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui bagaimana gambaran transformasi nilai-nilai islam di madrasah aliyah, gambaran perilaku toleransi siswa di madrasah Aliyah, serta untuk mengetahui relasi antara nilai-nilai islam dengan perilaku toleransi dalam sudut pandangan kebajikan kewarganegaraan. Pendekatan penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif (quantiitative approach) dengan metode deskriptif. Data penelitian dikumpulkan melalui Teknik observasi, angket, dokumentasi, dan studi literatur. Jumlah populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah sebanyak 5556 dengan sampel sebanyak 373 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa nilai-nilai islam yang dipahami dan diaplikasikan oleh siswa madrasah aliyah masih dalam tahap sedang. Hal tersebut masih jauh dari harapan sekolah sebagai pelaksana pendidikan. Perilaku toleransi siswa madrasah aliyah dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan menunjukan pada posisi sedang. Dari hasil penelitian yang telah dilakukan juga menunjukan bahwa adanya relasi antara nilai islam dalam membentuk perilaku toleran siswa. Oleh karenanya perilaku siswa yang intoleran yang terjadi di lingkungan madrasah dikarenakan masih belum maksimalnya transformasi nilai-nilai islam sehingga menyebabkan belum pahamnya pemahaman siswa akan nilai-nilai islam tentang toleransi. Adapun implikasi bagi pengembangan keilmuan Pendidikan Kewarganegaraan yaitu sebagai bahan acuan bahwa pentingnya penanaman nilai-nilai keislaman untuk membentu perilaku toleransi siswa. Mengingat perilaku toleransi merupakan salah satu indicator dari warga negara yang baik (a good citizenship).;--This research is motivated by the phenomenon of intolerant attitude of students in religion-based schools that should uphold the values of Islam that rahmatan lil 'alamin. This phenomenon shows the disparity between Islamic values and student behavior in schools that teach more Islamic values. The purpose of this study is to find out how to describe the transformation of Islamic values in madrasah aliyah, the image of student tolerance behavior in madrasah Aliyah, and to know the relation between Islamic values with the behavior of tolerance in the viewpoint of the virtue of citizenship. The research approach used in this research is quantitative (quantiitative approach) with descriptive method. The research data was collected through observation techniques, questionnaires, documentation, and literature study. The number of population in this study is as many as 5556 with a sample of 373 students. The results showed that Islamic values understood and applied by madrasah aliyah students are still in the medium stage. It is still far from the expectations of schools as education implementers. The tolerance behavior of madrasah aliyah students from the results of the research that has been done shows in the middle position. From the results of research that has been done also shows that there is a relationship between the value of Islam in shaping the tolerant behavior of students. Therefore, the behavior of intolerant students that occurs in the madrasah environment is due to the lack of maximum transformation of Islamic values so that the students' understanding of Islamic values about tolerance is not understood. The implications for the development of the scholarship of Citizenship Education is as a reference that the importance of Islamic values to establish the behavior of student tolerance. Given the behavior of tolerance is one indicator of a good citizenship (a good citizenship).
