Abstract

ABSTRAK Peran ibu sebagai pendidik pertama dalam pelaksanaan toilet training sangat di butuhkan oleh anak, agar anak dapat mengontrol buang air besar dan buang air kecil secara mandiri. Toilet training merupakan salah satu tugas peran orangtua untuk anak usia toddler. Peran ibu dalam pelaksanaan toilet training ini mencakup dari kesiapan ibu dalam pelaksanaannya, kesiapan anak, teknik mengajarkan toilet training, dan tahapan toilet training. Salah satu aspek perkembangan yang umum dalam periode toddler adalah pengajaran ke toilet pada saat anak berusia 18 bulan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui gambaran peran ibu dalam pelaksanaan toilet training pada anak usia toddler (1-3 tahun) di Posyandu RW 06 Margasari Kota Bandung. Desain penelitian ini adalah deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan sampel yang diambil yaitu ibu yang mempunyai anak usia toddler (1-3 tahun), menggunakan teknik Purposive Sampling. Berdasarkan penelitian disimpulkan variabel peran ibu dalam pelaksanaan toilet training pada anak usia toddler di Posyandu RW 06 Margasari Buah Batu Kota Bandung pada 57 responden ditemukan hasil sebagian besar peran ibu baik yaitu 52,6% dan peran tidak baik 47,4%. Hasil penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa peran ibu dalam pelaksaan toilet training di Posyandu RW 06 Margasari berperan baik. Dari hasil penelitian diharapkan tenaga kesehatan dapat meberikan informasi tentang toilet training untuk meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua, dan bagi orang tua lebih meningkatkan pengetahuan orang tua tentang toilet training baik melalui media massa maupun media elektronik. Kata Kunci: Peran, Ibu, Toilet training, Toddler ABSTRACT Mother’s role as the first educator in implementing toilet training for their toddler is needed so, the toddler can control urination and defecate independently. Toilet training is one of effort to train children to be able to control urination and defecation. Mother’s role in the implementation of toilet training includes the readiness of mothers in the implementation of toilet training, children's readiness to do toilet training, techniques to teach toilet training, and stages of toilet training. One common of development in the toddler period is toilet training, the age of 18 months. Toddler age as the golden period. So, it will be more easy for learning and guidance process. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of mothers in implementing toilet training in toddler age. This study uses descriptive research design with a quantitative approach. Samples taken were mothers who had toddler age children (1-3 years) using Purposive Sampling techniques. Based on the research, it was concluded that the variables of mother's role in the implementation of toilet training in toddlers at Posyandu RW 06 Margasari Buah Batu, Bandung City, in 57 respondents found that the majority of good mother roles 52.6% and 47.4%. The results of this study can be concluded that the role of mothers in implementing toilet training at Posyandu RW 06 Margasari plays a good role. From the results of the study it is expected that health workers can provide information about toilet training to increase parental knowledge, and for parents to increase parents' knowledge about toilet training through mass media and electronic media.
