Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh adanya isu sosial mengenai tidak berkembangnya keterampilan sosial dan kemampuan berinteraksi anak yang melaksanakan homeschooling. Penelitian ini bertujuan 1) Menganalisis upaya orang tua dalam membimbing keterampilan sosial anak homeschooling. 2) Menganalisis kondisi kemampuan berinteraksi anak setelah mendapatkan bimbingan dari orang tuanya. 3) Menganalisis faktor pendukung dan penghambat dalam membimbing keterampilan sosial anak homeschooling. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan analisis deskriptif. Peneliti melakukan pengumpulan data menggunakan metode wawancara dan observasi kepada tiga orang tua, tiga anak, dan tiga tutor mengenai upaya orang tua dalam membimbing keterampilan sosial dan kemampuan berinteraksi anak. Hasil temuan menunjukkan bahwa 1) Upaya yang dilakukan orang tua, yaitu dengan mengarahkan anak di komunitas dan bermain bersama tetangganya, menggunakan panduan (melalui buku bacaan ringan, hadis, dan jurnal), melakukan diskusi, memberikan teladan, dan membangun komitmen untuk menegakan disiplin. 2) Kemampuan berinteraksi anak sudah baik karena sudah adanya kontak sosial dan komunikasi. 3) Faktor pendukung yang dimiliki ketiga anak tersebut ialah sikap supel, mudah beradaptasi dan peka terhadap lingkungan sosialnya. Kemudian, faktor pendukung dari upaya orang tua ialah dengan pemberian kisah, hadiah dan hukuman, serta dengan mengikuti kegiatan komunitas. Faktor penghambat berasal dari sikap orang tua yang belum sempurna dalam memberikan contoh dan adanya pengaruh buruk dari orang lain.;--- Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia This research is motivated by the existence of social issues regarding the non-development of social skills and the ability to interact with children who carry out homeschooling. This study aims to 1) Analyze the efforts of parents in guiding the social skills of homeschooling children. 2) Analyzing the condition of the child's ability to interact after getting guidance from his parents. 3) Analyzing the supporting and inhibiting factors in guiding the social skills of homeschooling children. This study uses a qualitative approach with descriptive analysis. Researchers conducted data collection using interview and observation methods to three parents, three children, and three tutors regarding parents' efforts to guide social skills and the ability to interact with children. The findings show that 1) Efforts are made by parents, namely by directing children in the community and playing with neighbors, using guidelines (through light reading books, hadiths, and journals), conducting discussions, setting an example, and building commitment to uphold discipline. 2) The ability to interact with children is good because of the existence of social contact and communication. 3) The supporting factors possessed by these three children are the attitude of being sociable, easy to adapt and sensitive to their social environment. Then, a supporting factor in the efforts of parents is by giving stories, prizes and penalties, and by participating in community activities. The inhibiting factor comes from the attitude of parents who are not perfect in providing examples and the bad influence of others.
