Abstract
Kawasan Cagar Alam Leuweung Sancang merupakan kawasan konservasi berdasarkan Surat Keputusan Menteri Pertanian No. 370/Kpts/Um/6/1978 pada tanggal 9 Juni 1978. Hal ini dikarenakan potensi flora fauna yang dimiliki kawasan tersebut. Salah satu fauna yang terdapat di kawasan Cagar Alam Leuweung Sancang dan memiliki status konservasi vulnerable adalah Lutung Jawa. Aktivitas harian Lutung Jawa (Trachypithecus mauritius) diperlukan untuk menunjang upaya konservasi terhadap keberadaan populasi lutung jawa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui aktivitas harian Lutung Jawa. Penelitian ini dilakukan di kawasan Cagar Alam Leuweung Sancang yang difokuskan pada daerah muara Cibaluk hingga muara Cipalawah, dengan menggunakan metode scan sampling dan ditunjang dengan ad libitum sampling. Aktivitas makan, bergerak, istirahat dan sosial diamati dari populasi yang ditemukan. Hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa aktivitas makan merupakan aktivitas tertinggi dengan nilai persentase sebesar 41%. Aktivitas istirahat memiliki nilai persentase sebesar 23%, aktivitas sosial memiliki nilai persentase sebesar 18%, aktivitas bergerak memiliki nilai persentase sebesar 18%. Aktivitas makan kelompok lutung jawa di kawasan Cagar Alam Leuweung Sancang terjadi sekitar pukul 06.00 – 10.00 WIB dan sekitar pukul 13.00 – 16.00 WIB. Aktivitas bergerak kelompok lutung jawa terjadi sekitar pukul 10.00 – 11.00 WIB dan 16.00 – 17.00 WIB. Aktivitas istirahat kelompok lutung terjadi sekitar pukul 11.00 – 13.00 WIB dan 17.00 – 18.00 WIB. Sementara untuk aktivitas sosial terjadi pada pukul 06.00 WIB saat kelompok lutung jawa bangun dari tidurnya, lalu sekitar pukul 12.00 WIB dan sekitar pukul 17.00 WIB ketika menjelang tidur. Aktivitas sosial juga sering terlihat dilakukan disela-sela aktivitas yang lain. ;---Leuweung Sancang Nature Preserve is a conservation area based on the Decision Letter of the Minister of Agriculture no. 370/Kpts/Um/6/1978 on June 9, 1978. This decision letter is because of the potential of flora and fauna in the area. One of the fauna found in the area of the Leuweung Sancang Nature Preserve is Javan Langur that has vulnerable conservation status. Daily activity data of Javan Langur (Trachypithecus mauritius) is needed to support the conservation efforts of the Javan Langur populations. The aims of this research was to get information about the daily activity of the Javan Langur. This research was conducted in Leuweung Sancang National Preserve that was focused on the area of Cibaluk Estuary to Cipalawah Estuary. Scan sampling that supported with ad libitum sampling was used in this research. The feeding, moving, resting and social activities (grooming, calling, playing) had been observed from the population (4 groups) that were found. The results showed that the highest activity was feeding (41%), resting (23%), social activity (18%), and moving (18%). Feeding activities of Javan Langurs groups occurred between 06.00 – 10.00 and 13.00 – 16.00 WIT(West Indonesian Time). Moving activities of Javan Langurs groups occurred between 10.00 – 11.00 and 16.00 – 17.00 WIT. Resting activities of the Javan Langurs groups occurred between 11.00 – 13.00 and 17.00 – 18.00 WIT. Social activities occurred at 06.00 WIT when a group of javan langurs waking up from their sleep, at around 12.00 and 17.00 WIT when towards the bed. Social activities were also seen among the other activities.
