Abstract

Mempelajari komunikasi lintas agama yang termaktub dalam Alquran sangat penting untuk dilakukan. Selain untuk menjaga agar komunikasi antar-individu beragama berada dalam keadaan harmonis sesuai tuntunan Alquran, pembahasan ini memiliki keunggulan dalam menambah wawasan terkait teori komunikasi lintas agama. Istilah lintas agama dalam Alquran diwakili dengan penggunaan term Ahl al-Kitāb sehingga penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan komunikasi lintas agama dalam ayat-ayat yang mengandung istilah Ahl al-Kitāb serta penafsirannya, dan implikasinya terhadap pembelajaran PAI di sekolah. Pembahasan ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan metode library research. Berdasarkan hasil pembahasan, komunikasi lintas agama dalam Alquran berisikan dakwah. Hal tersebut ditunjukkan pada ayat-ayat yang mengandung istilah Ahl al-Kitāb yakni Q.S Ālī Imrān [3]:64, 98, 99, Q.S. al-Māidah [5]: 59, 68, 77, dan Q.S. al-‘Ankabūt [29]:46. Komunikasi lintas agama diperintahkan secara langsung oleh Allah yakni untuk menyampaikan pesan terkait seruan untuk kembali kepada tauhidullāh, kecaman, ancaman dan peringatan, serta tuntunan untuk menghindari perdebatan dengan non-muslim melainkan dengan cara-cara yang paling baik. Teori komunikasi lintas agama ini memiliki implikasi teoritis terhadap komponen pembelajaran PAI di sekolah yaitu meliputi pendidik, peserta didik, materi, dan metode pembelajaran. Analysing interfaith communication referred to in the Qur’an is very important. In addition to keeping harmonious communication between religius individuals according to the guidance of the Qur’an, the analysis has advantage of broadening insights related to the theory of interfaith communication. The term interfaith in the Qur’an is represented by the use of the term Ahl al-Kitāb. Herein, this study aims to describe interfaith communication in verses that contain the term Ahl al-Kitāb, their interpretation, and implications for for Islamic education teaching and learning in schools. The analysis adopts a qualitative approach and library research method. Based on the findings, interfaith communication in the Qur’an contains preaching, as shown by verses containing the term Ahl al-Kitāb, namely Q.S. Ālī Imrān [3]:64, 98, 99, Q.S. al-Māidah [5]: 59, 68, 77, dan Q.S. al-‘Ankabūt [29]:46. Interfaith communication is commanded directly by God to convey a message regarding the call to return to tauhidullāh, criticism, threats and warnings, and guidance to avoid debate with non-Muslims unless done in the most proper ways. The theory of interfaith communication has theoretical implications for the components of Islamic education teaching and learning in schools wich include educators, students, materials, and learning methods.
