Abstract

Upaya untuk meningkatkan mutu pendidikan adalah dengan membuat inovasi-inovasi baru model pembelajaran. Saat ini metode pembelajaran pemeliharaan mesin yang sudah ada, selain pembelajaran dengan ceramah adalah diskusi dan praktek. Akibatnya, materi mata pelajaran pemeliharaan mesin belum mampu menjadi mata pelajaran yang disenangi sebagai seorang siswa yang telah memiliki program keahlian otomotif. Salah satu upaya untuk mengurangi tingkat kegagalan siswa adalah dengan melakukan inovasi pembelajaran seperti menggunakan metode Problem Based Learning. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hasil belajar siswa selama mengikuti kegiatan belajar mengajar menggunakan Metode Problem Based Learning dan mengetahui perbedaan hasil belajar siswa sebelum dan sesudah menggunakan Metode Problem Based Learning Pada siswa Kelas XI TKR SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan”. Dalam penelitian ini menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas XI TKR 3 dengan jumlah 36 siswa. yang mengikuti mata pelajaran pemeliharaan mesin kendaraan. Pengolahan data untuk variabel mengatasi kesulitan belajar siswa yaitu dari hasil pretest dan posttest. Hasil tes diberikan skor, kemudian dinyatakan ketuntasan hasil belajarnya sesuai KKM SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan, setelah itu menggunakan Gain Ternormalisasi (N-Gain) untuk mengetahui teratasinya kesulitan belajar masing-masing siswa. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diperoleh nilai rata-rata keseluruhan pada pertanyaan sistem electric fuel injection (EFI), pada Pre Test sebanyak 15 siswa atau (43,14%) dapat mencapai nilai KKM dan sebanyak 28 siswa atau (62,86%) belum tercapai. Pada post test sebanyak 27 orang (77,43%) dapat mencapai nilai KKM dan 9 orang (25,43%) belum tercapai. Artinya penggunaan metode Problem Based Learning telah mampu meningkatkan pemahaman peserta didik khususnya dalam pembelajaran pada mata pelajaran pemeliharaan mesin dengan Menggunakan Simulator Injection Pada siswa Kelas XI TKR SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan. Disarankan bagi guru harus senantiasa memberikan kesempatan pada siswa yang mengaplikasikan pengetahuan yang mereka miliki dalam dunia nyata.---- Efforts to improve the quality of education is by creating new innovations model of learning. Currently the teaching method of existing machine maintenance, in addition to learning by lecture are discussion and practice. As a result, the subject matter of machine maintenance is not able to become a favorite subject as a student who already has an automotive skills program. One of the other efforts to reduce the failure rate of students is to creating the newest learn innovations such as using Problem Based Learning method. The purpose of this study is to determine the results of student learning during the learning activities using Problem Based Learning Methods and the difference of student learning outcomes before and after using Problem Based Learning Methods In students of Class XI TKR SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan ". In this research using Class Action Research method (PTK). Sample in this research is student of class XI TKR 3 with amount 36 student. which follows the subject of vehicle engine maintenance. Data processing for variable overcome student learning difficulties are from result of pretest and posttest. The test results are given a score, then expressed completeness of learning outcomes according to KKM SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan, then using Gain Normalized (N-Gain) to determine the difficulty of learning each student. Based on the result of the research, the average value on the question of electric fuel injection (EFI) system in Pre Test as many as 15 students or 43.14% can reach KKM score and as many as 28 students or 62,86% have not been reached. In the post test as many as 27 people (77,43%) can reach KKM value and 9 people (25,43) have not reached. it means students are using Problem Based Learning method has been able to improve students' understanding, especially in learning on the subject of machine maintenance by Using Injection Simulator In students of Class XI TKR SMK Negeri 3 Kuningan. It will be suggestions to teachers team that should always give opportunities to students for trying to apply the knowledge they have got in the real world.
