Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan untuk mengevaluasi efektivitas teknik coaching untuk meningkatkan psychological well-being siswa. Metode yang digunakan adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan menggunakan skala psychological well-being Ryff versi 42 aitem. Koefisien reliabilitas Alpha Cronbach untuk psychological well-being sebesar α = 0.87. Partisipan penelitian adalah siswa kelas XI SMA Negeri 14 Bandung berjumlah 20 orang, pengambilan sampel dilakukan secara non probability yang dikelompokkan dalam kelompok eksperimen (10 orang) dan kelompok kontrol (10 orang). Teknik analisis data dengan menggunakan Mann-Whitney menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan rata-rata gain score antara kelompok kontrol dan kelompok eksperimen, peningkatan terlihat pada empat dimensi psychological well-being siswa yaitu (penerimaan diri, kemandirian, tujuan hidup, dan penguasaan lingkungan) dan dua dimensi yang tidak signifikan (pertumbuhan pribadi dan hubungan baik). Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa bimbingan kelompok teknik coaching efektif untuk meningkatkan psychological well-being siswa. Rekomendasi ditujukan untuk guru BK dan peneliti selanjutnya.---This research conducted to evaluate the effectiveness of coaching techniques to improve students' psychological well-being. The method used a quasi experiment with nonequivalent pretest-posttest control group design. This research used the psychological well-being scale of Ryff version 42 item. Alpha Cronbach's reliability coefficient for psychological well-being is α = 0.87. The participant in this research were 20 student of 11th grade state senior hight school 14 Bandung, the sampling was conducted non-probability. Data analysis technique Mann-Whitney test showed there was a significant difference in the average gain score between the control group and the experimental group, improvements seen in the four dimensions of psychological well-being students (self-acceptance, autonomy, purpose in life, and environmental mastery) and two insignificant dimensions (personal growth and positive relation with other). Based on the results of research indicated that coaching technique effective to improve students' psychological well-being. Recommendations are for guidance and counseling teachers and next future researchers.
