Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi dengan diberlakukannya Masyarakat Ekonomi ASEAN (MEA) yang akan sangat terasa oleh lulusan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan (SMK). Lulusan SMK ini dituntut untuk siap menghadapi persaingan dengan tenaga kerja dalam negeri maupun luar negeri. Salah satu faktor yang harus dimiliki oleh siswa untuk menghadapi persaingan global ini adalah memiliki kompetensi kerja yang baik. Pada umumnya kompetensi yang diterapkan di sekolah berhubungan dengan prestasi belajar siswa baik pada ranah kognitif, afektif dan psikomotor. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui efektivitas penerapan Pembelajaran Berbasis Kompetensi pada mata diklat Pelaksanaan Konstruksi Kayu, kelas XI di SMK Negeri 6 Bandung. Populasi penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X, XI dan XII yang sedang melaksanakan pembelajaran Pelaksanaan Konstruksi Kayu. Pengambilan sampel dalam penelitian ini menggunakan teknik sampling purposive dan desain penelitian adalah quasi experimental design dikhususkan kepada pola nonequivalent control group design. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan tes untuk variable hasil belajar. Pengujian instrument dilaksanakan di SMK Negeri 6 Kota Bandung pada siswa kelas XI Program Studi Teknik Konstruksi Kayu yang berjumlah 60 siswa. Adapun teknik analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji validitas, uji reabilitas, uji tingkat kesukaran, daya pembeda, uji normalitas dengan uji chi kuadrat, gain, n-gain, uji homogenitas dan uji hipotesis. Hasil penelitan menunjukkan bahwa terdapat peningkatan signifikan terhadap hasil belajar siswa dari kondisi sebelum hingga sesudah mengikuti pembelajaran Pelaksanaan Konstruksi Kayu dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran Modul. Penerapan Pembelajaran Berbasis Kompetensi pada mata diklat Pelaksanaan Konstruksi Kayu di Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri 6 Bandung sudah efektif ------- The background of this research with the implementation of the ASEAN Economic Community (AEC) which will be felt by graduates of vocational schools (SMK). Vocational graduates are required to be ready to face competition from labor in the country and abroad. One factor that should be owned by the students to face global competition is to have a good working competence. competence is generally applied at the school associated with better student achievement in the cognitive, affective and psychomotor. The research aimed to know the the effectiveness of the implementation of Competency Based Learning on the lessons Wood Construction Implementation, class XI at The Vocational High School 6 Bandung. The population of this research is students of class X, XI and XII are currently implementing learning the Wood Construction Implementation. The samples in this research used purposive sampling techniques and research design is quasi-experimental design is devoted to the patterns nonequivalent control group design. The data collection is done by using a test for variable learning outcomes. test instrument was conducted at Vocational High School 6 Country District students of class XI Wood Construction Engineering Program of 60 students. Data analysis technique used is the validity, reliability, difficulty level test, power differentiaty test, normality test, chi kuadrat test, gain, n-gain, homogeneity test and hypotheses test. The results showed that there was a significant improvement on learning outcomes of students than before to after following study of the Wood Construction Implementation with application of methods of learning Modules. Based Competency Learning on subjects Wood Construction Implementation at The Vocational High School 6 Bandung has been effective.
