Abstract
Masalah yang menjadi kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya motivasi belajar para siswa SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi, khususnya pada mata pelajaran kearsipan kelas X Administrasi Perkantoran. Penelitian ini mengkaji mengenai pengaruh kecerdasan emosional terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Responden dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 60 siswa kelas X mata pelajaran kearsipan jurusan Administrasi Perkantoran di SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi. Metode penelitian yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode survey eksplanasi. Data dalam penelitian ini diperoleh melalui penyebaran angket yang dikembangkan dengan menggunakan model eksplanatory survey. Data yang telah terkumpul dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional berada pada kategori sedang, motivasi belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran kearsipan kelas X Administrasi Perkantoran di SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi berada pada kategori rendah. Berdasarkan hasil perhitungan koefisien regresi sederhana, diperoleh hasil bahwa kecerdasan emosional memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap motivasi belajar siswa. Penelitian ini menyarankan agar pihak guru lebih memperhatikan aspek kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi belajar siswa agar dalam pelaksanaan kegiatan pembelajaran siswa dapat meningkatkan prestasi belajarnya.---- The problem that becomes a study in this research is not yet optimal learning motivation of students in SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi, especially on subjects X-grade archival Administration Office. This study examines the influence on emotional quotient against student learning motivation. The respondents in this study amounted to 60 students of class X subject Archives Department Administration Offices in SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi. Research methods used in this research is a survey of empirical research methods. The data in this study were obtained through the spread of the now developed using the likert scale model. Data that has been collected is analyzed using simple regression analysis. The results of the data analysis showed that emotional quotient is in medium category, the learning motivation of students in the subjects of archives Administration in Office X grade SMK Sangkuriang 1 Cimahi is at a low category. Based on the results of the regression coefficient calculation is simple, obtained results that emotional quotient has a positive and significant influence toward student learning motivation. This research suggested that parties teachers pay more attention to the aspects of emotional quotient and learning motivation of students to learning activities in the implementation of students can improve their learning achievements.
