Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan merancang bahan ajar perkuliahan pendamping mata kuliah Human Machine Interface (HMI) yang layak dan relevan, juga sesuai dengan kebutuhan di lapangan. Penelitian ini dirasa perlu dilakukan untuk membantu menyelesaikan permasalahan yang ada dalam pelaksanaan perkuliahan menggunakan software Wonderware Intouch pada mata kuliah HMI di departemen pendidikan teknik elektro FPTK UPI. Responden yang terlibat adalah 5 orang mahasiswa angkatan 2013 dan 10 orang mahasiswa angkatan 2012-2013 bidang konsentrasi Elektronika Industri. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah penelitian dan pengembangan (Research and Development). Penelitian dilakukan dua tahap yaitu secara kualitatif untuk mencari permasalahan dan kebutuhan yang ada di lapangan dan secara kuantitatif untuk mengukur tingkat kelayakan dan relevansi dari bahan ajar yang dikembangkan. Temuan awal penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada beberapa permasalahan yaitu belum adanya bahan ajar pada mata kuliah HMI dan belum optimalnya penggunaan software wondeware Intouch sehingga perlu dikembangkan bahan ajar perkuliahan yang layak dan relevan yang sesuai dengan kebutuhan untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan tersebut. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian didapat bahwa produk yang dikembangkan dan diuji kelayakannya dari berbagai aspek menghasilkan kesimpulan bahwa produk bahan ajar perkuliahan yang dikembangkan sangat layak untuk digunakan oleh mahasiswa dalam Perkuliahan HMI menggunakan software Wonderware Intouch.;--- This research aims to design a companion lectures textbooks at Human Machine Interface (HMI) worthy and relevant also in accordance with the needs in the field. his research was deemed necessary to help resolve the existing problems in the lectures implementation using Wonderware Intouch software in HMI courses in the department of electrical engineering education FPTK UPI. Respondents who are 5 students involved forces from 2013 and 10 student class of 2013 to 2012 areas of concentration of Electronics Industry. The method used is research and development. The study was conducted two stages qualitatively to find out the problems and needs that exist in the field and quantitatively to measure the feasibility and relevance of textbooks developed. The preliminary findings of this study indicate that there are some problems are the absence of lectures textbooks in the course HMI and not optimal use Intouch Wonderware software that needs to be developed lectures textbooks viable and relevant in accordance with the need to solve the problem. Based on the results obtained the product is developed and tested the feasibility of various aspects lead to the conclusion that the product lectures textbooks that were developed very feasible to be used by students in doing HMI Course using Wonderware Intouch software
