Abstract

SLB Autisma YPPA merupakan salah satu sekolah luar biasa di Kota Padang Sumatera Barat yang memberikan layanan pendidikan bagi anak-anak berkebutuhan khusus, khususnya autism. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) Untuk memperoleh gambaran perencanaan kurikulum pendidikan berkebutuhan khusus autis di SLB Autisma YPPA , 2) Untuk memperoleh gambaran pelaksanaan kurikulum pendidikan berkebutuhan khusus autis di SLB Autisma YPPA, 3) Untuk mengidentifikasi evaluasi dan hasil yang dicapai dari pelaksaan kurikulum pendidikan berkebutuhan khusus autis di SLB Autisma YPPA Padang, 4) Untuk mengidentifikasi kendala yang ditemui dalam pelaksanaan kurikulum pendidikan berkebutuhan khusus autis di SLB Autisma YPPA Padang Sumatera Barat. Pada penelitian ini menggunakan metode Deskriptif Kualitatif. Sedangkan subjek penelitian ini adalah kepala sekolah, wakil kepala sekolah bidang kurikulum, guru dan pendiri yayasan YPPA Padang Sumatera Barat. Sumber data penelitian berasal dari informan, tempat dan peristiwa, serta dokumen atau arsip. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik purposive sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui observasi, wawancara/interview, dan analisis dokumen. Untuk pengujian validitas data, digunakan triangulasi data dan metode. Teknik analisis yang digunakan melalui cara: 1) pengumpulan data, 2) reduksi data, yaitu merupakan proses pengolahan, pemusatan perhatian dan penyederhanaan, pengabstrakan dan transformasi data kasar yang diperoleh di lapangan, 3) penyajian data, yaitu dengan menyajikan berbagai informasi yang diseleksi dalam rangka penarikan kesimpulan, dan 4) verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa SLB Autisma YPPA Padang menggunakan kurikulum khusus autism dari Catherine Maurice yang mana kurikulum tersebut berorientasi pada penanganan perilaku anak. Metode pembelajaran yang digunakan yaitu metode ABA (Applied Bahaviour Analysis) dan Sensori Integrasi (SI) dari okupasi terapi. Pemberian pelayanan pendidikan dilakukan secara one-on-one untuk intervensi dini pada penanganan perilaku autism. Disediakan pula kelas klasikal sebagai kelas transisi untuk mempersiapkan anak menuju sekolah regular. ;--- Special School Autisma YPPA is one of the outstanding schools in Padang, West Sumatra that provides educational services for children with special needs, especially autism. This research aims to: 1) To obtain an overview of planning of curriculum of special education of autism in SLB Autisma YPPA, 2) To get an overview of the implementation of special education curriculum of autism in SLB Autisma YPPA, 3) To identify the evaluation and results achieved from the implementation of special education curriculum of autism in SLB Autisma YPPA Padang, 4) To identify obstacles encountered in the implementation of special education curriculum of autism in SLB Autisma YPPA Padang, West Sumatra. In this research using Qualitative Descriptive method. The subjects of this research are the principal, vice principal of the curriculum, teachers and founders of YPPA Padang Foundation, West Sumatra. The sources of data in this research come from informants, places and events, and documents or archives. This research using purposive sampling technique. Techniques of data collection are done through observation, interview, and document analysis. Validity of data in this research using triangulation of data and methods. Data Analysis techniques used in this research: 1) data collection, 2) data reduction, that is processing process, concentration of attention and simplification, abstraction and transformation of rough data obtained in field, 3) presentation of data, that is by presenting various information which is selected in order of withdrawal, and 4) data verification. The results showed that SLB Autisma YPPA Padang using a special curriculum of autism from Catherine Maurice which the curriculum is oriented on handling child behavior. The learning method that is used in SLB Autisma YPPA Padang is the method of ABA (Applied Bahaviour Analysis) and Sensory Integration (SI) of occupational therapy. The provision of educational services is done one-on-one for early intervention in the treatment of behavior of autism. Classical classes are provided as transitional classes to prepare children for regular schools
