Abstract

Keterampilan geografis merupakan hal yang fundamental untuk dikuasai oleh peserta didik. Berdasarkan kajian literatur dan observasi lapangan, penilaian terhadap keterampilan geografis masih belum dilaksanakan dengan baik. Mayoritas guru geografi memandang bahwa keterampilan geografis tidak secara jelas termuat dalam kompetensi dasar. Instrumen penilaian yang dikembangkan adalah instrumen penilaian untuk mengukur proses dan produk. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: 1) mengembangkan instrumen penilaian kinerja dalam mengukur keterampilan geografis, 2) mengetahui hasil penerapan instrumen penilaian kinerja dalam mengukur keterampilan geografis, 3) mengetahui pendapat guru terkait efektivitas instrumen penilaian kinerja dalam mengukur keterampilan geografis, 4) mengetahui hambatan penggunaan instrumen penilaian kinerja dalam mengukur keterampilan geografis. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian campuran dengan pendekatan penelitian dan pengembangan. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SMA Negeri 1 Wates, Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Subjek uji coba adalah seluruh peserta didik kelas X IPS. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah instrumen penilaian kinerja, lembar panduan observasi serta lembar wawancara. Data hasil penelitian dianalisis dengan menggunakan teknik analisis data kualitatif dan kuantitatif. Berdasarkan temuan penelitian dan hasil analisis data, disimpulkan bahwa: 1) Pengembangan instrumen yang dilakukan melalui tujuh tahapan dalam penelitian ini telah teruji dan terbukti layak berdasarkan uji validasi dengan capaian CVR yang tinggi dan tingkat reliabilitas yang sangat reliabel. 2) Hasil penerapan instrumen yang dikembangkan ini menunjukkan bahwa pada tahap pengujian lapangan pendahuluan keterampilan geografis peserta didik tergolong tidak tuntas, cukup, baik dan sangat baik. Pada tahap pengujian lapangan utama, keterampilan geografis peserta didik tergolong cukup, baik, dan sangat baik. 3) Berdasarkan pendapat guru, instrumen yang dikembangkan melalui penelitian ini efektif untuk mengukur keterampilan geografis peserta didik. 4) Hambatan penggunaan instrumen yang dikembangkan melalui penelitian ini antara lain: kesiapan guru, keterbatasan waktu dan perilaku peserta didik. ;---Geographic skills is fundamental to be mastered by students. Based on literature review and field observation, assessment of geographic skills has not been well implemented. The majority of geography teachers see that geographic skills are not clearly contained in basic competencies. The assessment instruments developed in this research are assessment instruments for measuring processes and products. This research aims to: 1) develop performance assessment instruments in measuring geographic skills, 2) know the results of performance assessment instrument implementation in measuring geographic skills, 3) know the teacher's opinions on effectiveness of performance assessment instrument in measuring geographic skills, 4) know the barriers to the use of performance assessment instruments in measuring geographic skills. This research is a mix method research with research & development approach. This research was conducted at SMA Negeri 1 Wates, Kulon Progo Regency. The test subjects are all of 10th grade students in social science. The instruments used are performance appraisal instruments, observation guides and interview sheets. The data of the the research were analyzed using qualitative and quantitative data analysis techniques. Based on research findings and data analysis results, concluded that: 1) The development of the instrument through seven stages has been tested and proved feasible based on the validation test with high CVR performance and reliability level that is very reliable. 2) The result of the instrument implementation showed that in the preliminary field testing, the students' geographic skills are not complete, enough, good and very good. In main field testing step, students' geographic skills are quite good, good, and excellent. 3) Based on teachers opinions, instruments have been effective for measuring the geographic skills of students. 4) Barriers to the use of instruments include: teacher readiness, time constraints, and students behavior.
