Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh emosi akademik terhadap self-efficacy yang dimoderasi oleh dukungan teman sebaya pada siswa smp di kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pendekatan kuantitatif dengan desain korelasional yang dimoderasi dengan sampel penelitian berjumlah 349 partisipan berusia 12-13 tahun yang dipilih menggunakan teknik convenience sampling. Instrumen terdiri atas academic emotions questionnaire (AEQ) yang telah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia, Student Social Support Scale (SSSS), dan self-efficacy. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan hierarchical regression. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa dukungan teman sebaya tidak memoderasi pengaruh emosi akademik positif terhadap self-efficacy dan dukungan teman sebaya memoderasi (melemahkan) pengaruh emosi akademik negatif terhadap self-efficacy. Selain itu hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa tidak terdapat perbedaan jenis kelamin pada emosi akademik, dukungan teman sebaya dan self-efficacy siswa. ;--- This research aims to examine the influence of academic emotions on self-efficacy moderated by peer support in junior high school students in Bandung. The method used in this research is quantitative approach with a moderated correlational design, the sample of this research is 349 participants aged 12-13 years old selected by using convenience sampling technique. The instrument consists of academic emotions questionnaire (AEQ) which has been translated into Indonesian, Student Social Support Scale (SSSS), and self-efficacy. The data analysis was done by using hierarchical regression. The results show that peer support does not moderate the influence of positive academic emotions on self-efficacy. It's also shows that peer support moderating (weakening) the influence of negative academic emotions on self-efficacy. Besides the result of this research indicate that there is no difference of gender on academic emotions, peer support, and student self-efficacy.
