Abstract

Salah satu konsep kecerdasan yang berkembang saat ini adalah Adversity Quotient disamping konsep kecerdasan lain yang telah lebih dulu berekembang. Sebagai sebuah konsep yang lahir dari pendidikan barat tentu tidak serta merta harus diikuti oleh umat Islam, maka penting dilakukan pengkajian mengenai konsep kecerdasan Adversity Quotient dalam prespektif pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini berupaya untuk menjelaskan konsep kecerdasan Adversity Quotient, konsep kecerdasan menurut pendidikan Islam dan relevansi konsep kecerdasan Adversity Quotient dengan pendidikan Islam. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif dengan bentuk kajian literatur atau riset kepustakaan, karena bersumber pada rujukan teori-teori para ahli yang berkaitan dengan penulisan ini. Sumber buku utama yang digunakan ialah buku Adversity Quotient karya Paul G. Stoltz, Ph.D., sumber lainnya ialah buku-buku dan jurnal yang berkaitan dengan Adversity Quotient dan pendidikan Islam. Hasil penelitian munujukan bahwa konsep Adversity Quotient yang berarti kecerdasan dalam mengatasi kesulitan sesungguhnya telah terdapat secara ekspilist di dalam Alquran. Konsep kecerdasan dalam pandangan Islam meliputi akal, jiwa dan hati. Aspek-aspek Adversity Quotient setiap manusia terdiri atas control, origin, ownership, reach, dan endurance. Adapun aspek-aspek dari Adversity Quotient dalam prespektif Islam mengacu pada konsep prophetic intelligences yaitu sabar, bersikap optimis dan berjiwa besar. Berdasarkan tipe manusia pada konsep Adversity Quotient dalam mengahadapi kesulitan yaitu quitters, campers, dan climbers. Sedangkan tingkatan Adversity Quotient dalam prespektif Islam merujuk pada struktur kepribadian Islam yaitu kerpibadian ammarah, lawwamah, dan muthmainnah.;---One of the concepts of intelligence that developed today is Adversity Quotient in addition to other concepts of intelligence that has been developed earlier. As a concept evolved in western education system, it is not necessarily to be followed by Muslims, it is important to study the concept of Adversity Quotient in the perspective of Islamic education. This research attempts to explain the concept of Adversity Quotient, the concept of intelligence according to Islamic education and the relevance of the concept of Adversity Quotient with Islamic education. This research is categorized into descriptive research. Writing techniques in this study included into the study of literature or research literature, because sourced from the reference theories of experts associated with this writing. The main source of the book used is Paul G. Stoltz's Adversity Quotient book, Ph.D., and other sources are books and journals related to Adversity Quotient and Islamic education. The results show that the concept of Adversity Quotient, which means that intelligence in overcoming the life difficulties has been found explicit in the Qur'an. The concept of intelligence in the Islamic view includes reason, soul and heart. Aspects of Adversity Quotient of every human being consists of control, origin, ownership, reach, and endurance. The aspects of Adversity Quotient in Islamic perspective refers to the concept of prophetic intelligences that is patient, optimistic and big-minded. Based on the human type on the concept of Adversity Quotient in facing the difficulties of quitters, campers, and climbers. While the level of Adversity Quotient in Islamic perspective refers to the structure of Islamic personality that is the personality of ammarah, lawwamah, and muthmainnah.
