Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan di SMK Negeri 11 Bandung. Permasalahan yang menjadi kajian dalam penelitian ini adalah belum optimalnya kepuasan kerja guru di sekolah. Dalam penelitian ini terdapat faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja guru. Salah satu faktor yang diduga mempengaruhi kepuasan kerja guru ialah kompetensi. Kompetensi yang diarahkan pada penelitian ini ialah kompetensi professional guru. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini ialah metode survey eksplanatori. Yaitu metode untuk menjelaskan pengaruh antara variabel-variabel melalui pengujian hipotesis. Alat pengumpulan data yang di gunakan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan kuesioner yang di sebarkan kepada 66 responden guru tetap yang telah diolah menggunakan teknik analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa kompetensi profesional berada pada kategori sedang dan kepuasan kerja guru berada pada kategori sedang. Berdasarkan hasil analisis regresi, diperoleh hasil bahwa kompetensi professional memiliki pengaruh yang positif dan signifikan terhadap kepuasan kerja guru. ---------- This research was conducted at The State Vocational High School 11 Bandung. The issue of this study is the job satisfaction of teacher at school has not yet reached an optimal. In this study, there are factors influenced on teacher of job satisfaction. One of the factor which is perceived as teacher job satisfaction is competence. The competence in this study is considered to teacher professional competence. Explanatory survey method is used in this study which describes the influence of variables through hypothesis testing. Distribution of questionnaire is used to obtain data towards 66 permanent teachers as respondents determined by simple regression analysis technique. The result of analysis showed that teacher professional competence at the medium category and teacher job satisfaction at medium category. Based on regression analysis result show professional competence have positive influence and significant toward teacher’s job satisfaction.
