Abstract

Cerebal palsy merupakan suatu kondisi yang mempengaruhi pengendalian sistem motorik gerak yang diakibatkan oleh kelainan neurological atau kerusakan dalam sistem otak. Menulis permulaan adalah suatu aktivitas yang mencakup gerakan lengan, tangan dan jari dan mata secara terintegrasi. Menulis permulaan merupakan kemampuan dasar yang harus dimiliki oleh setiap siswa di sekolah. Kemampuan menulis siswa cerebral palsy mengalami keterlambatan karena perkembangan motoriknya terganggu. Salah satu upaya dalam meningkatkan kemampuan menulis permulaan adalah dengan menggunakan media sebagai latihan untuk merangsang kinestetik pada bagian tangan dan jari. Slime sejenis gumpalan bahan yang lengket/kental dengan tekstur yang kenyal merupakan salah satu media untuk melatih motorik halus pada subjek SAS. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui penggunaan media slime untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis permulaan anak Cerebral Palsy di SLB Negeri Bandung Barat Kampus II. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode Single Subject Research dengan desain A-B-A dengan menggunakan satuan ukur persentase. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan peningkatan subjek SAS dalam menulis permulaan. Mean level pada aspek menggerakkan alat tulis fase baseline-1 adalah 42%,fase intervensi 77%, dan fase baseline-2 adalah 84%. Pada aspek menebalkan huruf dan kata fase baseline-1 memperoleh 48,3%, fase intervensi 67,9%, dan fase baseline-2 memperoleh 82,9%. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa penggunaan media slime dapat meningkatkan kemampuan menulis permulaan anak cerebral palsy.---------- Cerebal palsy is a condition affecting the control of motoric systems caused by the neurological abnormalities or damages in the brain system. Beginning writing is an activity that includes the movements of arm, hands and fingers, and eyes in an integrated manner. In addition, beginning writing is a basic skill that should be possessed by every student in school. In relation to the writing ability of cerebral palsy students, they in fact undergo a slow improvement due to the damages in terms of their motoric developments. Therefore, one of the attempts to improve writing skills is through the use of media as a means of exercising in order to stimulate kinesthetic on hand and finger parts. In this regard, slime in the form of sticky material clumps with an elastic texture is considered as a medium used to exercise the fine motoric on SAS. The stages of slime training activities were executed through the processes of being pressed, clenched, pulled, and shaped. This present study employed a Single Subject Research (SSR) method. With respect to the research design, this study employed an A-B-A design using a percentage measurement unit. The results of this study showed that there was an improvement of SAS in the beginning writing. In the mean level on the aspect of moving the writing tools, the baseline-phase 1 was 42%, the intervention phase was 77%, and the baseline-2 phase was 84%. In the aspect of thickening letters and words, the baseline phrase-1 resulted in 48.3%, the intervention phase was 67.9%, and the baseline-2 phase resulted in 82.9%. Therefore, it can be concluded that the use of slime media in fact can improve the beginning writing ability of the cerebral palsy children.
