Abstract
Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh terjadinya rendahnya penalaran moral siswa. Tujuan penelitian yaitu untuk menggambarkan tahap penalaran moral siswa SMP Negeri 1 Darma Kuningan dan membuat program bimbingan dan konseling yang secara hipotetik dapat meningkatkan penalaran moral siswa SMP Negeri 1 Darma. Pendekatan penelitian menggunakan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Populasi berjumlah 204 siswa dengan sampel sebanyak 135 siswa yang diambil melalui metode random sampling. Data yang dikumpulkan diperoleh dari hasil penyebaran instrumen DIT (Deffining Issue Test). Hasil penelitian menunjukan gambaran umum nilai penalaran moral siswa kelas VIII di SMP Negeri 1 Darma berada pada tahap yang seharusnya dicapai yaitu tahap 3 dan 4 yang termasuk pada tingkatan konvensional, artinya siswa sudah dapat memahami aturan-aturan yang berlaku disekolah. Rencana Kegiatan Layanan Bimbingan dirumuskan untuk membantu siswa yang masih berada pada tahap rendah. Rekomendasi penelitian, ditujukan kepada guru, pihak sekolah, pihak UPTLBK UPI dan penelitian selanjutnya.----------The background of this study is moral dilemma of students are frequent occurrence. The purpose of this study is to know moral reasoning value of students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Darma. Furthermore, it is used to arrange guidance and counseling program which hipothetical can improve moral reasoning of students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Darma. The method that is used in this study is descriptive method. The population of this study was 204 students. Meanwhile, the sample in this study was 135 students using quota random sampling. The data was obtained from the result of distributing DIT (Deffining Issue Test) instrument. The result showed that in general moral reasoning of students in grade VIII SMP Negeri 1 Darma were in fourth phase, the phase that should be reach out by them. In this phase, all of students have understood the rules of school. Phases of moral reasoning students consisting five phase which is from second to sixth phase. Guidance and counseling program is arranged to help student that was in the low phase. Based on this study, there is the expectation that the teachers, the school, UPTLBK, and another researcher will get inspiration from this study to use this program.
