Abstract

Latihan taktil (perabaan) Braille Mangold merupakan program penggembangan persepsi taktual dan pengenalan huruf Braille yang dapat digunakan sebagai program pembelajaran untuk melatih kesiapan membaca permulaan Braille peserta didik tunanetra. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah memperoleh gambaran seberapa besar pengaruh latihan taktil (perabaan) Braille Mangold dalam meningkatkan kesiapan membaca permulaan Braille peserta didik totally blind kelas tiga SDLB. Penelitian ini dilaksanakan di SLB Negeri A Kota Bandung. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan Single Subject Research dan menggunakan desain penelitian A-B-A. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa latihan taktil (perabaan) Braille Mangold memberikan pengaruh dalam meningkatkan kesiapan membaca permulaan Braille peserta didik totally blind kelas tiga SDLB. Hal ini terlihat terjadinya peningkatan mean level pada fase baseline-1 (A-1) ke fase baseline-2 (A-2) yaitu sebesar 4,93 %. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa latihan taktil (perabaan) Braille Mangold dapat meningkatkan kesiapan membaca permulaan Braille peserta didik totally blind kelas tiga SDLB di SLBN A kota Bandung. Latihan taktil (perabaan) Braille Mangold dapat digunakan guru sebagai alternatif dalam meningkatkan kesiapan membaca permulaan Braille pada peserta didik totally blind, Kata kunci: Latihan taktil (perabaan) Braille Mangold, kesiapan membaca permulaan, totally blind Tactile exercises (touching) of Mangold Braille is a tactual perception development program and introduction of braille that can be used as a learning program to train readiness to read the beginning of Braille on blind learners. The purpose of this study is to obtained an overview of how much the influence of mangold braille taktil exercise in improving readiness to read the beginning of braille on totally blind learners in third grade of SDLB this study was conducted in SLB Negeri A Kota Bandung. The methods used in this study is experimental method with single subject risearch design A-B-A. The result of this study showed that mangold braille taktil exercises given the influence in improving readiness to read the beginning of braille on totally blind learners in the third grade sdlb. This can be seen from the increase in the mean level at baseline phase-1 (A-1) to baseline phase-2 (A-2) is 4,93 %. Based on the result of 4the study it can be conclude that mangold braille tactille exercise can be increased readiness to read the beginning of braille on totally blind learners in the third grade of SDLB Negeri A Kota Bandung. Mangold braille tactile exercise can be used for teachers as the alternative in improving readiness to read the beginning of braille on totally blind learner.
