Abstract

Dampak dari ketunarunguan yaitu terhambatnya komunikasi secara verbal. Siswa tunarungu lebih sering berkomunikasi secara non verbal seperti berbahasa isyarat. Tetapi komunikasi non verbal kurang efektif digunakan ketika siswa tunarungu berada di lingkungan sosial karena informasi yang akan disampaikan kurang dipahami oleh orang disekitarnya. Siswa tunarungu yang mengalami hambatan dalam mengucapkan kata yang mengandung fonem B berdampak pada informasi yang akan disampaikan oleh siswa menjadi kurang sempurna dan kurang bisa ditangkap oleh lawan bicara. Modalitas utama proses belajar pada siswa tunarungu salah satunya adalah menggunakan segi visual. Salah satu media pembelajaran yang diasumsikan dapat meningkatkan kemampuan mengucapkan kata adalah media kartu kata bergambar. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan media kartu kata bergambar dalam meningkatkan kemampuan mengucapkan kata yang mengandung fonem b pada siswa tunarungu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah Single Subject Research (SSR) dengan desain penelitian A-B-A. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian, diperoleh mean level baseline-1 (A1) sebesar 35,71%, mean level intervensi (B) sebesar 44,04%, dan baseline-2 (A2) sebesar 82,41%. Terjadi peningkatan yang signifikan dari tiap kondisi, sehingga dapat disimpulkan bahwa media kartu kata bergambar dapat meningkatkan pengucapan kata yang mengandung fonem B pada suku kata, fonem b diawal, ditengah dan diakhir kata siswa tunarungu. The hard of hearing student more often communicate nonverbally such as sign language. However, the sign language is ineffective use when hard of hearing students are in the social environment because the information that will be delivered by the student become less understood by people around them. The hard of hearing students have the obstacle in mentioning the words that contains B phenom, then impacted to the information that will be delivered by the students become imperfect and less understood by the respondent. The main modality of learning process toward hard of hearing student are using the visual side. One of the learning media that assumed can increase the ability of expressing the word is pictorial card media. This research aimed to know the influence of pictorial card media in increasing the ability of expressing the word that contains the b phenom towards hard of hearing student. Research methodology that used is Single Subject Research (SSR)with research design A-B-A. According to the result of the research, obtained the mean level baseline-1 (A1) is 35,71%, mean level intervention (B) is 44,04% and baseline-2 (A2) is 82,41%. There is significantly increase from each condition, then can be concluded that pictorial card media can be increased expressing the word that contains the B phenom toward hard of hearing student.
