Abstract

Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan tujuan untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa tunarungu dengan menggunakan media animasi kartun dengan program adobe flash. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode eksperimen dengan desain one group pre-test post-test. Analisis data yang digunakan adalah uji Wilcoxon. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa tunarungu di SLB Negeri Cicendo Bandung sebanyak 6 orang. Hasil penelitian yang telah dianalisis menjelaskan bahwa hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini diterima, yaitu menunjukan adanya peningkatan pada kemampuan membaca permulaan. Oleh karena itu dapat dijelaskan bahwa terdapat pengaruh penggunaan media animasi kartun melalui program adobe flash terhadap peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa tunarungu. Hal ini dapat dilihat dari kondisi pre-test menunjukan kemampuan membaca permulaan siswa berbeda-beda, setelah diberikan treatment terjadi peningkatan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa. namun dapat disimpulkan bahwa media animasi kartun melalui program adobe flash efektif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca permulaan pada siswa tunarungu di SLB Negeri Cicendo Bandung. The problem of deaf students is in reading the beginning, especially reading vocals (a.i.u.e.o) pronunciation is not clear, This research was conducted with the aim to improve the ability to read the beginning of the deaf students by using animated cartoon media with adobe flash program. The method used in this research is an experimental method with one group pre-test post-test design. The data analysis used is Wilcoxon test. This study was conducted on deaf students at SLB Negeri Cicendo Bandung as many as 6 people. The results of the research have been analyzed to explain that the hypothesis proposed in this research is accepted, that is showing the increase in the reading ability of the beginning. Therefore it can be explained that there is influence the use of cartoon animation media through adobe flash program to increase the reading ability of the beginning of student deaf. This can be seen from the condition of pre-test shows the ability to read the beginning of different students, after being given the treatment of improved reading ability of the beginning of the students. but it can be concluded that the animated cartoon media through the adobe flash program is effective to improve the reading ability of the students at the SLB Negeri Cicendo Bandung
