Abstract

Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) merupakan pengetahuan yang unik hasil perpaduan pengetahuan konten dan pedagogi. PCK memberikan gambaran tentang bagaimana seorang guru mengajarkan suatu materi pembelajaran dengan mengakses apa yang guru ketahui tentang materi, tentang siswa yang diajar, tentang kurikulum dan apa yang guru yakini sebagai cara terbaik untuk mengajarkan materi tersebut. Penggambaran kemampuan PCK guru pada pembelajaran IPA dapat meningkatkan pemahaman kita tentang bagaimana sebenarnya pembelajaran IPA tersebut. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memberikan gambaran kemampuan PCK guru pada materi pencemaran lingkungan melalui penggunaan Content Representation (CoRe) dan Pedagogical and Professional-experience Repertoires (PaP-eRs). Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif. Subyek pada penelitian ini adalah enam orang guru mata pelajaran IPA kelas VII dari tiga Madrasah Tsanawiyah Negeri (MTsN) yang berbeda di Kabupaten Padang Pariaman, Sumatera Barat. Kemampuan PCK guru pada materi pencemaran lingkungan diungkap menggunakan instrumen CoRe dan PaP-eRs. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan PCK guru dalam merencanakan pembelajaran melalui CoRe, mengintegrasikan CoRe kedalam RPP dan merefleksikan pembelajaran melalui PaP-eRs berada pada kategori cukup baik. Kemampuan guru dalam mengimplementasikan pembelajaran materi pencemaran lingkungan berada pada kategori baik. Namun demikian, masih terdapat ketidaksesuaian antara perencanaan melalui CoRe dengan implementasi pembelajaran. Kemampuan PCK guru dipengaruhi oleh pengalaman mengajar dan latarbelakang pendidikan. Pedagogical Content Knowledge (PCK) is a unique knowledge that come from the blending of content knowledge and pedagogical knowledge. PCK provides an overview of how a teacher teaching a topic by accessing what teacher knows about the topic, student, curriculum and what the teacher believes is the best way to deliver the topic. The portray of teachers' PCK in science learning can improve our understanding of how science is actually being learned. The purpose of this study is to provide an overview of teachers' PCK on environmental pollution topic using Content Representations (CoRe) and Pedagogical and Professional-experience Repertoires (PaP-eRs). The research design is descriptive. Research subjects are six science teachers in VII grade student from three different junior high school in Padang Pariaman District, West Sumatera, Indonesia. Teacher's PCK on environmental pollution topic was portrayed using the CoRe and PaP-eRs instruments. The results show that teacher's PCK in planning, learning process using CoRe, integrating CoRe into lesson plan, and reflecting the learning process using PaP-eRs are in good enough category. The ability of teachers in the implementation of learning environmental pollution topic is in fairly good category. However, there is still a discrepancy between planning through CoRe and the implementation of learning. The ability of teachers PCK can be determined by teaching experience and educational background.
