Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fakta yang menunjukkan masih rendahnya keterampilan siswa dalam menulis puisi. Metode sugesti imajinatif diharapkan mampu menjadi salah satu solusi untuk meningkatkan kemampuan menulis siswa khususnya pada pembelajaran menulis puisi. Adapun tujuan penelitian meliputi: 1) kemampuan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 30 Bandung dalam menulis puisi sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan metode sugesti imajinatif berbantuan media foto di kelas eksperimen; 2) kemampuan siswa kelas VII SMP Negeri 30 Bandung dalam menulis puisi sebelum dan sesudah diterapkan metode terlangsung di kelas kontrol; 3) perbedaan hasil yang signifikan antara kemampuan menulis puisi pada kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah eksperimen kuasi dengan desain penelitian nonequivalent control group design. Sampel dari penelitian ini berjumlah 64 orang. Berdasarkan data yang diperoleh, indeks gain di kelas eksperimen berkategori sedang dan kelas kontrol berkategori rendah. Hasil skor uji reliabilitas antarpenimbang prates dan pascates di kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol berkorelasi sangat tinggi. Selain itu, data sampel terbukti berdistribusi normal dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% serta data bersifat homogen. Adapun skor rata-rata prates di kelas eksperimen adalah 52,62 dan skor rata-rata pascates 66,84. Sementara itu, skor rata-rata prates di kelas kontrol adalah 51,87 dan skor rata-rata pascates 57,84. Berdasarkan hasil uji hipotesis, diketahui bahwa t_hitung t_tabel atau 5,73 1,999 yang berarti H_0 ditolak dan H_1 diterima. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa metode sugesti imajinatif berbantuan media foto terbukti efektif dalam pembelajaran menulis puisi. Imaginative Suggestion Method is expected to be able to be the solution to improve the students’ writing ability especially in learning to write poetry. The purpose of this research are: 1) the 7th grade students’ in SMP Negeri 30 Bandung abilities in writing poetry before and after the implementation of imaginative suggestion method by using media-assisted photo in the experimental class; 2) the 7th grade students’ in SMP Negeri 30 Bandung abilities in writing poetry before and after the implementation of metode terlangsung in the control class; 3) a significant different in the result in the ability in writing skill between the experimental class and the control class. The method used in this research is quasi-experimental with nonequivalent control group as the research design. The sample of this research is 64 people. Based on the obtained data, the gain index in experimental has a moderate categorization and control class has a low categorization. The reliability test score between the pretest and posttest in experimental and control class has a very high correlation. Besides, the sample data proven to have normal distribution with a 95% level of confidence and the data is homogeneous. The average score of the pretest in experimental class is 52,62 and the average score for the posttest is 66,84. Meanwhile, the average score for the pretest in the control class is 51,87 with 57,84 for the average score of the posttest. Based on the result of hypothesis test, noted that t_hitung t_tabel or 5,73 1,999 which mean H_0 has been denied and H_1 has been approved.
