Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menghasilkan e-book bertutorial interaktif berbasis SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, dan Society) materi elektrokimia yang dikembangkan menggunakan metode 4S TMD. Metode 4S TMD terdiri dari empat tahapan yaitu tahap seleksi, strukturisasi, karakterisasi, dan reduksi didaktik. Desain penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode Developmental Research (DR) Richey, Klein, & Nelson yang terdiri atas tahapan desain, pengembangan, dan evaluasi. Tahapan desain yaitu menganalisis dan merencanakan jenis bahan ajar yang dikembangkan, tahap pengembangan yaitu tahap mengembangkan e-book interaktif dengan metode 4S TMD, dan tahap evaluasi yaitu tahap uji coba kelayakan dan keterpahaman bahan ajar e-book interaktif. Tahap seleksi menghasilkan 12 indikator yang dikembangkan dari KD 3.3, 3.4, dan 3.5 pada materi elektrokimia berdasarkan silabus kurikulum 2013, kesesuaian materi dengan indikator, dan hubungan SETS dan materi elektrokimia. Tahap strukturisasi menghasilkan peta konsep, struktur makro, dan multipel representasi materi elektrokimia yang disusun menjadi draft bahan ajar pertama yang digunakan untuk mengembangkan instrumen tahap karakterisasi. uji karakterisasi dilakukan pasa siswa kelas XII dengan jumlah teks sebanyaak 68. hasil karakterisasi diperoleh bahwa dari 68 teks yang diujikan, terdapat sebanyak 6 teks yang tergolong dalam teks sulit. teks sulit direduksi dengan cara kembali ke tahapan kualitatif dan partikulasi. Draft bahan ajar kedua disusun berdasarkan hasil karakterisasi dan reduksi didaktik dan digunakan untuk menyusun e-book interaktif. E-book interaktif materi elektrokimia yang dikembangkan memperlihatkan buku pelajaran elektrokimia secara terpadu berbasis SETS memiliki animasi, latihan, dan evaluasi yang mengajak siswa berinteraksi secara langsung. Di samping itu, media berupa video, animasi, dan simulasi diharapkan siswa lebih tertarik untuk belajar materi kimia. E-book interaktif ini memiliki tingkat keterpahaman yang tinggi setelah dilakukan tahap reduksi didaktik. Bahan ajar e-book interaktif memiliki tingkat kelayakan yang tinggi pada aspek isi sebesar 77%, kebahasaan sebesar 99,28%, penyajian sebesar 88,75%, dan kegrafikan sebesar 95,25%. Kata kunci: E-book interaktif, elektrokimia, SETS, 4S TMD   This study aims to produce SETS (Science, Environment, Technology, and Society)-based tutoring interactive e-book on electrochemical through four steps teaching material development methode. The 4S TMD method consists of four stages of selection, structuring, characterization, and didactic reduction. The research design used was Richey Developmental Research (DR), Klein, & Nelson which consist of design, development and evaluation. The design step is to analyze and plan the types of teaching materials that was developed, the development step was developing an interactive e-book with 4S TMD method, and the evaluation phase was the feasibility test step and comprehension of tutoring interactive e-book. The selection step produced 12 indicators that developed from KD 3.3, 3.4, and 3.5 on electrochemistry based on the 2013 curriculum syllabus, material conformity with indicators, and SETS relationships with electrochemistry. The structuring step produces concept maps, macro structures, and multiple representations of electrochemistry that were structured into drafts of the first teaching material used to develop the instrument for characterization . The characterization test was done by the students of XII grade with 68 texts. The results of the characterization were obtained that from 68 texts, there are 6 texts belonging to difficult text. The difficult texts were reduce by returning to qualitative, particulative stages, and used the symbol and picture explaining. The second draft of teaching material was based on the result of didactic characterization and and used to construct the tutoring interactive e-book. The tutoring interactive e-book of electrochemistry developed demonstrating electrochemistry e-book in an integrated SETS-based format has animations, exercises, and evaluations that invite students to interact directly. In addition, the media in the form of video, animation, and simulation students are expected to be more interested in learning chemicals. This tutoring interactive e-book has a high level of understanding after a didactic reduction stage. Interactive e-book teaching materials have a high level of feasibility on the aspect of content of 77%, linguistics of 99.28%, 88.75% presentation, and 95.25% kegrafikan.
