Abstract
Kota Bandung memiliki satu Kebun Binatang yaitu Kebun Binatang Bandung. Kebun Binatang Bandung ramai dikunjungi terutama pada akhir pekan. Namun pada tahun 2016 mengalami penurunan. Salah satu faktor penurunan jumlah kunjungan disebabkan karena fasilitas pelayanan yang kurang maksimal diantaranya adalah kondisi kebersihan, kurangnya petunjuk arah, dan kurangnya peta dan informasi satwa. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menyusun media interpretasi non-personal yang mendukung wisata edukasi pada area aves di Kebun Binatang Bandung dengan tahapan penelitian menggunakan teori Wells (2009) mengenai Interpretation and Education Planning sebagai teori utama. Penelitian ini menggunakan statistik deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dan kualitatif dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Populasi dalam penelitian ini yaitu wisatawan yang mengunjungi Kebun Binatang Bandung. Sedangkan sampel yang diambil menggunakan rumus Slovin sebanyak 100 responden. Dalam pengembangan media interpretasi non-personal mengacu pada persepsi wisatawan dan permintaan wisatawan yang dinilai berdasarkan empat sifat interpretasi menurut Ham (1992) yaitu enjoyable, relevant, organized dan thematic. Analisis data pada penelitian ini menggunakan Model Miles dan Huberman. Menurut Miles dan Huberman, aktifitas dalam analisis data terbagi menjadi tiga, yaitu: data reduction, data display, dan conclusion drawing/verification. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa media interpretasi non-personal di Kebun Binatang Bandung yaitu papan interpretasi tidak menarik dan belum memenuhi empat sifat interpretasi menurut Ham (1992). Oleh karena ini dibuatlah papan interpretasi yang menarik dan sudah memenuhi empat sifat interpretasi.;---Bandung city has one zoo that is Kebun Binatang Bandung. Kebun Binatang Bandung is visited especially on weekends. But on 2016 has decreased the amount of visits. One of the factors of decreasing the amount of visits due to lack of services facilities maximum, such as lack of cleanliness, lack of directions, lack of maps, and lack of animals information. This research aims to develop non-personal interpretation media that support educational tourism in the aves area at Kebun Binatang Bandung with research stages using wells theory (2009) of interpretation and eduvation planning as the grand theory. This research uses descriptive statistic with quantitative and qualitative approach by using questionnaiers. Population in this research were tourists who visited the Kebun Binatang Bandung. While the sample taken using slovin formula as much as 100 respondens In the development of non-personal interpretation media refresh to the perceptions of tourist and the demand of tourist who are in value based on four interpretive properties according to Ham (1992) is enjoyable, relevant, organized and thematic. Data analysis in this research using the model Miles and Huberman. According to Miles and Huberman, activity in data analysis is divided into three namely, such as data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing/verification. Based on the results of research sows that media of non-personal interpretation in the Kebun Binatang Bandung the interpretation board is not fulfilled the four properties of interpretation according to Ham (1992). Therefore made an interesting interpretation board and has met four interpretive character.
