Abstract
Indonesia adalah negara kepulauan. Indonesia mempunyai berbagai macam suku, ras, adat, dan budaya. Namun seiring dengan perkembangan era globalisasi, kebudayaan Indonesia mulai luntur. Hal ini dikarenakan semakin berkembangnya teknologi di dalam penerapannya yang menerpa Indonesia, membuat lahirnya peradaban Negeri ini dibawa menuju ke arah kehidupan dunia barat. Dengan demikian pola pikir Indonesia menjadi terpengaruh kehidupan barat atau pola budaya Barat sehingga mereka melupakan kebudayaan sendiri. Rasa simpati penulis akan permasalahan tersebut melahirkan gagasan untuk membuat sebuah karya drawing. Rumusan masalah yang terdapat dalam penciptaan ini adalah mengembangkan gagasan dalam pembuatan karya drawing, proses dan teknik pembuatannya, dan visualisasi estetis yang terdapat pada karya drawing tersebut, serta bagaimana menganalisis konsep secara visual. Metode penciptaan menggunakan teknik konvensional drawing, yaitu dry to dry, dengan teknik arsir stippling dan hatcing pada media kertas putih menggunakan pena rapido berwarna hitam dan terdiri dari lima buah karya yang di dalamnya terdapat objek manusia “lengser” dan objek-objek pendukung seperti hutan pinus, bebatuan, pohon lapuk, daun kering, ranting, bulan dan latar belakang sebagai bentuk penyesuaian terhadap karakteristik lengser pada kebudayaan upacara adat mapag panganten. Dari keseluruhan hasil penciptaan ini diharapkan dapat menemukan berbagai inovasi dan ide segar yang dapat dijadikan acuan berkarya seni gambar, memberikan wawasan dan pengetahuan akan kebudayaan di Indonesia yang terancam punah berdasarkan kondisi yang dialaminya, serta pentingnya peran budaya terhadap identitas suatu negara. ;--- Indonesia is Archipelagic state. when we are talking about culture, Indonesia has various kinds of tribes, races, customs, and natures. Indonesia also rich variety of cultures. However as the times era of globalization, Indonesian Culture began to fade. It’s because of the growing technology in the application to that hit Indonesia, it’s make Indonesian civilization toward western life or Western Culture pattern. Therefore make Indonesian mindset become affected by western life or western culture pattern. So that is why they forget their self about their Culture. Author have commiseration about these problems. It make Author has an idea to creat an artwork of drawing. The problem formulation of the concerns expressed in this creation is to develop ideas in the creation of the work of drawing, process and creation of technique, aesthetic visualization in this artwork of drawing, and how to analyze the concept visual. After the process, the result in this artwork was obtained from achievment in the form of idea, and then in terms of technique used is the conventional drawing technique,that is dry to dry, stipling shading technique, and hatching in Black rapido pen on white paper. In this drawings, consists of five works in which there are human object is “lengser” and the support objects like pinery, rocks, weathered tree, dried leaves, twig, moon, and for the background is adjustment of characteritic shape lengser in traditional ceremonies culture of mapag panganten. From the overall results of this creation is expected to find a wide range of innovations and fresh ideas which can be used as a reference work, providing insight and knowledge of the culture in Indonesia is endangered by it’s condition, as well as the importance of the role of culture to the identity of a country.
