Abstract
Penelitian dilatarbelakangi oleh hasil survey pra-penelitian menggunakan pengecekan employee engagement menurut Schiemann 2011 yang menunjukan adanya kecenderungan employee engagement yang rendah dilihat kurangnya kepuasan karyawan dan kurangnya energi dan kegembiraan di tempat kerja. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui gambaran motivasi dan employee engagement pada PT. PINDAD (Persero), serta untuk mengetahui pengaruh motivasi terhadap employee engagement. Penelitian ini dilakukan pada PT. PINDAD (Persero) di Bandung dengan menggunakan metode deskriptif dan verifikatif. Desain penelitian ini adalah desain kausalitas. Data yang digunakan penelitian ini adalah data primer yaitu kuesioner dan wawancara langsung dengan Divisi Human Capital Management serta data sekunder yaitu laporan tahunan PT.PINDAD (Persero) tahun 2015. Populasi penelitian ini berjumlah 2471 orang dan diambil sampel sebanyak 97 responden melalui metode Proporsionate Stratified Random Sampling. Analisis statistik yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah analisis korelasi pearson product moment dan analisis regresi sederhana. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi dan employee engagement pada PT. PINDAD (Persero) masuk kedalam kategori tinggi. Sehingga motivasi berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap employee engagement. Untuk meningkatkan employee engagement pada PT.PINDAD (Persero) dapat dilakukan dengan cara mengadakan pembinaan dan pelatihan menghayati pekerjaan pada karyawan.,---This research based on previous pre-research that using “Employee engagement” by Schieman 2011. That showed “employee engagement” is very lowed and gives negatives impact for Employee satisfaction, power and employee happiness at work. Research aims to descript of the employee engagement and motivation at PT PINDAD (Persero). and to know about how much motivation gives the influence to “Employee engagement”. This research is done at PT. PINDAD (Persero) Bandung with descriptive and verification method. This research use causality design. This research use primary data that is the questionnaire and direct interview with division Human Capital Management and secondary data that is the annual report PT PINDAD (Persero) 2015. The population this research were 2471 people and taken sample 97 respondents with Proportionate Stratified Random Sampling Method. Statistical analysis used in this research was pearson product moment and simple regression. The results of research shows that the motivation and employee engagement on PT.PINDAD (Persero) into the category of high. So that the motivation influential positive and significant against employee engagement. To improve the employee engagement on PT.PINDAD (Persero) can be done by the held guidance and training inspire work on the employee.
