Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan siswa di kelas III SD. Permasalahan tersebut adalah rendahnya sikap kepemimpinan siswa disebabkan karena guru kurang memberikan kesempatan kepada siswa untuk menjadi ketua kelompok sehingga terdapatnya siswa yang kurang berpartisipasi, siswa kurang bertanggung jawab dan terlihatnya sikap egois siswa ketika pembagian tugas di dalam kelompok, hal tersebut karena siswa belum mampu mengorganisasikan kelompok, sehingga menyebabkan adanya ketergantungan negatif. Kecemburuan sosial terjadi saat guru menentukan ketua kelompok, hal tersebut menyebabkan adanya kesenjangan social yang terjadi pada siswa. Maka dari itu peneliti menerapkan strategi rolling leader. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mendeskripsikan penerapan dan peningkatan sikap kepemimpinan siswa dengan menggunakan model kooperatif startegi rolling leader. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian tindakan kelas (PTK) dengan model Kemmis dan Mc.Taggart yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus terdiri dari perencanaan, pelaksanaan, observasi dan refleksi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui analisis observasi sikap kepemimpinan siswa pada saat proses pembelajaran dengan indikator dari sikap kepemimpinan yaitu stabilitas emosi, kejujuran, keterampilan berkomunikasi, kemampuan mengajar dan keterampilan sosial. Rata-rata hasil penilaian indikator terhadap sikap kepemimpinan siswa pada siklus I sebesar 80% dan mengalami peningkatan sebesar 8% pada siklus II menjadi 88%. Dapat disimpulkan bahwa penerapan model kooperatif strategi rolling leader dapat meningkatkan sikap kepemimpinan siswa di sekolah dasar.;---The research background is the problems of students in third grade elementary school. The problem is the low attitude of student leadership because the teacher is less give opportunity to student to become group leader so that there are less participant student, student is less responsible and the student selfishness attitude when the task devided in group, it is because student have not able to organize group , Thus causing a negative dependence. Social jealousy occurs when the teacher determines the group leader, it causes a social gap that occurs in the student. So the researchers apply rolling leader strategy. The purpose of this research is to describe the application and improvement of student leadership attitude by using cooperative model of rolling leader strategy. This research uses classroom action research method with Kemmis and Mc.Taggart model which implemented in two cycles consist of planning, execution, observation and reflection. Data collected through analysis of student attitude through observation at learning process with indicator of leadership attitude which are emotional stability, honesty, communication skill, teaching ability and social skill. The average results of the assessment of the indicators of student leadership attitude in the first cycle of 80% and increased by 8% in cycle II to 88%. It can be concluded that the application of cooperative model of rolling leader strategy can improve student leadership attitude in elementary school.
