Abstract

Kegiatan belajar merupakan kegiatan penting yang harus diperhatikan oleh siswa karena tanpa adanya kegiatan, proses belajar tidak mungkin terjadi. Faktor eksternal yang mempengaruhi kegiatan belajar salah satunya adalah keadaan lingkungan sosial sekolah. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara lingkungan sosial sekolah dengan kegiatan belajar. Pendekatan yang digunakan adalah kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif dan teknik analisis data yang digunakan korelasional. Populasi penelitian adalah siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri 19 Bandung sebanyak 287 siswa yang terdiri dari 8 kelas dengan sampel sebanyak 167 siswa. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan yaitu proportional random sampling. Hasil penelitian yang diperoleh yaitu (1) keadaan lingkungan sosial sekolah berada pada kategori tinggi; (2) kegiatan belajar siswa berada kategori sedang; (3) terdapat hubungan yang signifikan dan positif antara lingkungan sosial sekolah dengan kegiatan belajar siswa. Implikasi penelitian bagi bimbingan dan konseling (BK) berupa gambaran tujuan layanan klasikal untuk mengefektifkan lingkungan sosial sekolah dan kegiatan belajar siswa kelas VIII SMP Negeri Bandung tahun ajaran 2016/2017. Rekomendasi penelitian ditujukan kepada guru BK, guru mata pelajaran, dan peneliti selanjutnya.;---Learning activities are important processes that shall be paid attention by the students, considering learning process will not be ensued without activities. An external factor affecting learning activities is social environment of school. This research aims to discover the correlations between social environment of school and learning activities. The approach applied is quantitative through descriptive method and correlational technique of data analysis. The research population is VIII grade students at SMP Negeri 19 Bandung amounted to 287 students that is divided to 8 classroom in which the sample is taken from 167 student. The sampling technique is proportional random sampling. The results of this research are (1) the social environment of school is classified in high category; (2) learning activities of students are classified in moderate category; (3) there is significant and positive correlation between social environment of school and learning activities. The implication of this research on Guidance and Counseling (BK) is a description of the classical service objectives of operational idea to create the effectiveness of social environment of school and learning activities for VIII grade students at SMP Negeri Bandung Academic Year 2016/2017. This research is recommended for Guidance and Counselling teachers, subject teachers, and further research.
