Abstract
Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui hubungan antara self construal dengan humor styles pada mahasiswa suku Sunda Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia, serta mengetahui tipe yang paling dominan di kedua variabel tersebut pada mahasiswa suku Sunda. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini berjumlah 380 mahasiswa aktif dari mulai angkatan 2011-2016. Data pada penelitian ini diperoleh melalui instrumen Self Construal Scale (SCS) untuk mengukur self construal dan instrumen Humor Styles Questionnaire (HSQ) untuk mengukur humor styles. Pendekatan yang digunakan untuk menguji hipotesis penelitian adalah pendekatan korelasional dengan teknik analisis person product moment. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat hubungan self construal dengan humor styles, dengan kontribusi 11, 42%. ;---The research research aims to examine the correlation between self construal and humor styles of Sundanese students and to show the self construal style and humor styles of sundanese students in Indonesia University of Education. Participants in this study were 380 active students from the batch of 2011 to 2016. The data of Sundanese students’ self construal were obtained through Self Construal Scale (SCS), while the data of humor styles of sundanese students were obtained through Humor Styles Questionnaire (HSQ). The approach used to test the hypothesis was correlational approach using quantitative approach with correlational method and analysis technique using product moment. This research shows that there is a correlation between self construal and humor styles with 11,42% contribution.
