Abstract

Proses pendidikan baik secara formal, informal, maupun nonformal, menjadi tumpuan untuk melahirkan manusia baru Indonesia dengan karakter yang kuat. Adapun karakter kuat ini dicirikan oleh kapasitas moral seseorang, seperti kejujuran, kekhasan kualitas seseorang, yang membedakan dirinya dari orang lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penanaman karakter di sekolah berbasis pesantren kemudian implikasinya terhadap sikap dan keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Subyek penelitian ini adalah 32 siswa MA berbasis pesantren, yang tinggal di pesantren pada kelas X MIA. Hasil dari penelitian ini memperlihatkan bahwa karakteristik pendidikan karakter di sekolah dilaksanakan melalui pengintegrasian pada mata pelajaran, pelaksanaan bimbingan kerohanian, berbagai kegiatan keislaman yang mampu meningkatkan nilai karakter serta sikap para siswa, kemudian keterampilan berpikir kritis siswa juga dinilai baik.berdasarkan hasil penelitian, rata-rata skor untuk 18 sikap hasilnya ada pada kategori baik dan sangat baik. Begitu pula dengan skor untuk keterampilan berpikir kritis dari lima aspek yang diukur hasil reratanya dalam persen mencapai 80%., dan dikategorikan baik. Adapun terlaksananya pendidikan karakter ini disertai oleh beberapa faktor, faktor pendukung dan juga faktor penghambat. Faktor dukungan positif dari berbagai pihak merupakan faktor pendukungnya, sedangkan faktor kesulitan adaptasi siswa merupakan faktor penghambat terlaksananya pendidikan karakter ini.;--- The process of education whether formal, informal and non-formal, became the foundation for the birth of new Indonesian man with a strong character. The robust character is characterized by the capacity of one's morals, such as honesty, the peculiarities of the quality of someone, which distinguishes itself from others. This study aims to determine the planting of character-based boarding school then the implications for attitudes and critical thinking skills of students. This research is a descriptive research. The subjects were 32 students MA-based boarding school, living in boarding schools in the class X MIA. The results of this study showed that the characteristics of character education in schools is carried out through the integration of the subjects, the implementation of spiritual guidance, various Islamic activities that could increase the value of the character and attitude of the students, then the students' critical thinking skills were also assessed baik.berdasarkan results of the study, the mean average score for the 18 attitude of the result is in good and excellent categories. Similarly, the scores for the critical thinking skills of the five aspects of their mean outcomes measured in percent to reach 80%., And considered good. The implementation of character education is accompanied by a number of factors, enabling factors and also an inhibiting factor. Factors positive support from various parties is a supporting factor, while the students' difficulty factor adaptation an inhibiting factor is the implementation of character education.
