Abstract
Kota Pangkalpinang memiliki beberapa sentra kerajinan timah dan yang mendapat binaan langsung oleh PT.Timah (Persero) Tbk. adalah Pangkal Pewter Pangkalpinang. Rumusan masalah yang ingin diteliti yaitu: (1) Bagaimana deskripsi produk kerajinan Pangkal Pewter hasil binaan PT.Timah (Persero) Tbk. di Kota Pangkalpinang? (2) Bagaimana visualisasi kerajinan Pangkal Pewter hasil binaan PT. Timah (Persero) Tbk. di Kota pangkalpinang?. Peneliti menggunakan teori desktipsi dari kerajinan timah yaitu kerajinan berbahan baku pewter yang dibuat dengan teknik pengecoran dan melalui berbagai proses dalam pembuatannya untuk menghasilkan suatu produk kerajinan yang memiliki nilai estetika. Adapun bentuk dari hasil kerajinan pewter yang diteliti yaitu bentuk kapal dewa ruci, kereta dorong balok timah, gantungan kunci, balok susun timah, pemain golf, pendorong kereta balok timah, ikan arwana, naga, burung, dan bebek. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian deskriptif dengan pendekatan kualitatif. Lokasi penelitian sebagai subjek penelitian kerajinan timah berada di Jl. Ahmad Yani no. 179 Kota Pangkalpinang. Teknik pengumpulan data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah wawancara, observasi, dan studi dokumentasi. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dapat disimpulkan bahwa objek-objek dari kerajinan timah Pangkal Pewter seperti benda alam, manusia, dan hewan dengan jumlah sepuluh produk yang terdiri dari empat produk benda alam, dua produk manusia dan empat produk hewan. Produk-produk ini memiliki alasan, tingkat kemurnian bahan baku, ukuran serta fungsinya serta visualisasi produk kapal Dewa Ruci, pemain golf dan ikan arwana yang diteliti mengenai visualisasinya. Diharapkan terus dapat mempertahankan kerajinan timah ini serta berkarya dengan kekreatifitas yang lebih lagi. ;--- Pangkalpinang has some tin crafts center which are trained directly by PT.Timah (Persero) Tbk. is Pangkal Pewter Pangkalpinang. The problems which are observed, namely: (1) The product description of Pangkal Pewter which are trained directly by PT.Timah (Persero) Tbk. in Pangkalpinang? (2) what is the visualization result of the Pangkal Pewter’s crafts. in Pangkalpinang ?. The researcher used descriptive theory to analyze the tin craft which is made of pewter that had been made by molding techniques and through various processes in manufacturing, to produce craft products that have aesthetic values. The shape of the pewter crafts that are studied are in the shape of Dewa Ruci ship, tin boxes stroller, key chains, stacking blocks of tin, golfer statues, tin boxes train driver, arwana fish, dragons, birds and ducks. This research used descriptive method with qualitative approach. The research subject is a tin craft producer which is located in Jl. Ahmad Yani no. 179 Pangkalpinang. Interviews, observation and documentation are the techniques which are used for this research. Based on the results of this study it is concluded that most objects of Pangkal Pewter tin craft are in the form of natural objects, humans, and animals with the ten products which are consisted of four natural objects products, two products in the form of human and four products in the form of veterinary. These products are chosen because of the purity’s degree of the raw materials, the sizes and the functions, and also the product visualization. Dewa Ruci ship, a golfer and Arwana fish products are investigated in term of its visualization. This research is expected to be able to maintain this tin crafts production and improve the creativity of the tin craft producers.
