Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh jumlah lulusan Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Boga Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia yang semakin banyak setiap tahunnya, tetapi jumlah lulusan yang menjadi seorang wirausaha masih sedikit dikarenakan ada beberapa faktor yang mempengaruhinya. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui minat berwirausaha mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Boga Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia setelah belajar mata kuliah kewirausahaan berdasarkan beberapa indikator kewirausahaan. Metode penelitian adalah metode deskriptif, dengan populasi mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Boga Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia angkatan 2013 sebanyak 17 orang dan angkatan 2014 sebanyak 21 orang yang berarti jumlah total populasi yaitu 38 orang, menggunakan teknik sampling jenuh. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan minat berwirausaha mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Boga Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia berdasarkan 6 indikator yaitu berada pada kriteria tinggi. Kesimpulan penelitiaan terdapat minat yang tinggi pada diri mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Boga FPTK Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia untuk berwirausaha. Rekomendasi untuk mahasiswa diharapkan dapat menerapkan ilmu-ilmu yang di dapat dari kegiatan seminar kewirausahaan. Mahasiswa diharapkan mengikuti setiap kegiatan kewirausahaan agar wawasan tentang berwirausaha semakin luas, sehingga dapat menumbuhkan insiatif bagi mahasiswa agar menciptakan usaha sendiri. Rekomendasi untuk peneliti selanjutnya diharapkan dapat mengembangkan karya ilmiah mengenai minat berwirausaha pada mahasiswa dalam pembahasan dan populasi yang lebih luas, karena penelitian ini terbatas pada produk cookies dengan populasi terbatas pada mahasiswa Program Studi Pendidikan Tata Boga Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia angkatan 2013 dan 2014 peminatan patiseri. Kata Kunci : Minat, Berwirausaha, Mahasiswa, Prodi, Tata Boga The background of this study is the increased number of the graduates from Culinary Art Education Study Program in Indonesia University of Education every year, but the graduates that become entrepreneur are still less due to some factors that influence them. The purpose of this study is to discover the interest in entrepreneurship on the students of Culinary Art Education Study Program in Indonesia University of Education after learning entrepreneurship subject based on some entrepreneurship indicators. The research method employed in this study is descriptive method, whose the population is 17 students of Culinary Art Education Study Program in Indonesia University of Education from batch 2013 and 21 students from batch 2014. Therefore, the total number of population is 38 persons with using saturation-sampling technique. The result of this study shows that the interest in entrepreneurship on the students of Culinary Art Education Study Program of Indonesia University of Education based on six indicators is in high criterion. This study concludes that there is high interest in entrepreneurship on the students of Culinary Art Education Study Program of Faculty of Technology and Vocational Skills Education in Indonesia University of Education. The recommendation for students is expected to apply the knowledge obtained from entrepreneurship seminar. The students are expected to participate in entrepreneurship activity to make their knowledge of entrepreneurship larger, so that it can create initiative for the students to have entrepreneurship. Meanwhile, the recommendation for the future researcher is expected to develop scientific work regarding the students’ interest in entrepreneurship with larger discussion and population since this study is limited to the product of cookies with limited population on the students of Culinary Art Education Study Program in Indonesia University of Education from batches 2013 and 2014 specified in patisserie program.
