Abstract
Penelitian ini, dilatarbelakangi oleh keresahan penulis terhadap rendahnya hasil belajar dalam proses pembelajaran sejarah. Hal ini jelas sekali bertentangan dengan tujuan yang diharapkan dalam kurikulum, bahwa peningkatan hasil belajar merupakan hal yang urgen pada pembelajaran sejarah. Salah satu faktor yang dapat mempengaruhinya yaitu datang dari luar individu, seperti penerapan metode pembelajaran yang relevan sehingga dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa yang maksimal. Dari sekian banyak metode pembelajaran yang ada, salah satunya metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). Metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe ini adalah salah satu metode pembelajaran kooperatif dengan faham konstruktivistik sebagai kolompok kecil dan tingkat kemampuan yang berbeda. Di samping itu, metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) merupakan metode pembelajaran kooperatif paling sederhana bagi para guru yang baru menggunakan metode kooperatif. Berangkat dari permasalahan tersebut di atas, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui penerapan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar. Maka dari itu penulis mewujudkannya dengan menggunakan metode tersebut sebagai instrumen yang digunakan dalam meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa khusus pada mata pelajaran Sejarah. Pada penelitian ini, penulis menggunakan metode Penelitian Tindakan Kelas ( PTK) dengan mengadopsi model Kemmis dan Mc. Taggart. Adapun kegiatan yag dilakukan terdiri dari perencanaan (plan), tindakan (act), pengamatan (observe), dan refleksi (reflect). Subjek dalam penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas X Madrasah Aliyah Daarul Ulum Sukaraja Kabupaten Garut. Teknik pengumpulan data yang dilakukan adalah dengan menggunakan lembar observasi guru dan siswa, studi dokumentasi, wawancara bebas dan tak terstruktur. Berdasarkan hasil temuan di lapangan, setelah diterapkan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dalam pembelajaran sejarah, menunjukkan adanya peningkatan hasil belajar siswa. Berdasarkan proses pembelajaran tersebut, yaitu dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran kooperatif tipe Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD) dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa pada mata pelajaran sejarah. Hal ini terbukti pada siklus ketiga yang merupakan puncak dari penelitian, siswa mampu mencapai nilai dengan kategori baik dan sangat baik. Melihat hasil yang diperoleh dengan mengacu kepada Kurikulum Standar Isi yang diterapkan oleh pemerintah dapat disarankan bahwa, proses pembelajaran dengan menerapkan metode pembelajaran kooperatif ini bisa menjadi salah satu solusi yang tepat untuk menjawab masalah-masalah pada pembelajaran di kelas.;--- The research background is based on the writer’s concern about the low learning outcome in the process of learning History. This is clearly in contrast to the expected learning goal in the curriculum that the improvement of the learning outcome is urgent including in learning History. One of the factors that can influence on it derives from outside individuals, such as using the relevant learning methods is the type of cooperative learning Student Teams Achievement Division (STAD). This type of cooperative learning methods is one of the cooperative learning methods with contructivism in which the student are put in small groups with different levels of capabilities or competence. Basides the type of cooperative learning STAD is the simplest and the best methods for the teacher who begin using the cooperative learning approach. The present problem is how far the use of STAD gives the effect to the improvement of the student’s learning outcome in the subject of history. Based on the above problem, the research aims at finding out the influence of using the cooperative learning methods STAD on improving the learning outcome. The writer tries to realize it by using this method as an instrument to increase the student’s learning outcome especially in learning history. In this research, the writer uses classroom astion research approach by adopting Kemmis and Taggart’s model. The activities cunducted consist of planning, action, observation, and reflection. The subject of the research is the student grade X of Daarul Ulum Islamic Senior High School Sukaraja garut Regenci. The technique of collecting data was done using observation sheets for the teacher and student, documentary study, free and non-structured interview, as well as questionaires. Based on the research findings, the use of the type of cooperative learning STAD in learning History indicates that there is a positive change in the student’s learning outcome. Based on the description above, the use of the type of cooperative learning STAD can improve the student learning outcome in the subject of history. It is proved in the third cycle, the climax of the research in which the student are ableto get the categories of good and very good marks. Looking at the obtained result and referring to 2006’s curriculum (Curriculum of Educational Unit Level) implemented by the government, it can be concluded that the learning process using this cooperative learning method can be one of the appropriate solutions to the problem of the learning process in the classroom.
