Abstract

Penelitian ini berangkat dari permasalahan yang mengenai kesiapan mental antara atlet pendaki Pamor dan atlet pendaki Bandung Explorer saat mengikuti kejuaraan Burangrang Mountain Race 2015. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengkaji sejauh mana perbandingan mental toughness antara atlet pendaki Pamor dan atlet pendaki Bandung Explorer. Untuk dapat menjawab permasalahan penelitian ini digunakan metode komparatif, tujuan penelitian komparatif ini adalah untuk membuat deskripsi, gambaran, lukisan secara sistematik mengenai fakta-fakta, sifat-sifat serta perbandingan antara fenomena yang diselidiki. Penelitian ini menggunakan teknik pengambilan sampel dengan teknik total sampling yang dimana semua populasi dijadikan sampel. Instrumen dalam penelitian ini menggunakan angket yaitu dengan cara menyebar angket kepada 3 sampel atlet pendaki Pamor dan 3 sampel atlet pendaki Bandung Explorer. Berdasarkan uraian yang dikemukakan diatas serta hasil pengolahan data dan analisis data, maka kesimpulan dari penelitian ini bahwa mental toughness itu sangat penting untuk memperoleh hasil yang sempurna saat melakukan kejuaraan atau pertandingan. Hasil penelitian ini diperoleh terdapat perbandingan mental toughness yang signifikan dengan p= 0.000 < 0.05 maka dengan demikian H0 ditolak. -- ; -- This study departs from issues regarding mental readiness among athletes Pamor and athletes Bandung Explorer wgile following the championship Burangrang Mountain Race (BMR) 2015. The purpose of this study was to assess the extent of mental toughness comparison between athletes Pamor and Bandung Explorer. To be able to answer problem of this study used a comparative method, purpose of this comparative study is to create a description, picture, painting systematically on the facts, characteristics and a comparison between the phenomenon investigated. Research it uses a sampling technique with a total sampling where all population sampled. Instruments in this study using a questionnaire that is by spreading quistionnares to 3 sample of athletes Pamor and 3 samples of athletes Bandung Explorer. Result data processing and analysis of data from this study that the mental tughness athletes Pamor of the relatively strong and mental toughness athletes Bandung Explorer as very strong. Conclusion the reaserch results obtained are mental toughness significant comparison between athletes Pamor with athletes Bandung Explorer.
