Abstract
Persamaan matematika yang rumit dan sulit kerap kali menjadi representasi mata pelajaran fisika. Hal tersebut menjadi salah satu penyebab rendahnya minat belajar siswa terhadap fisika, sedangkan dikelas, fisika banyak memuat konsep-konsep abstrak yang membutuhkan banyak representasi-selain persamaan-untuk membantu siswa dengan berbagai tingkat kecerdasan untuk memahaminya. Di sisi lain, penggunaan ponsel pintar semakin digandrungi oleh remaja. Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan bahan ajar multi representasi dinamik berbasis Android dan melihat dampaknya terhadap hasil belajar siswa. Penelitian berlangsung di kelas X SMA dengan melibatkan dua kelas untuk menjadi kelas eksperimen dan kelas kontrol. Metode penelitian Research and development (R&D) digunakan dalam mengembangkan bahan ajar, sedangkan untuk mengukur peningkatan hasil belajar dan keefektifan aplikasi bahan ajar digunakan desain penelitian quasi experiment pre-test post-test control group. Sample penelitian dipilih melalui teknik purposive sampling dan berjumlah 78 siswa SMA kelas X. Data yang dikumpulkan berupa hasil post-test, pre-test dan angket tanggapan siswa. Materi ajar dibuat dengan menggunakan modus representasi verbal, gambar, gambar bergerak, dan persamaan matematik. Pengembangan aplikasi bahan ajar berbasis android sendiri menggunakan perangkat lunak Adobe Flash CS6 dengan format akhir aplikasi adalah .apk. Peningkatan hasil belajar dihitung dengan menggunakan N-gain ternormalisasi, sedangkan efektivitas penggunaan aplikasi juga dicari menggunakan effect size. Hasil penelitian menunjukan nilai N-gain kelas eksperimen sebesar 0.713 angka tersebut termasuk kedalam kriteria ‘tinggi’ dan kelas kontrol sebesar 0.363 yang berkriteria ‘rendah’. sedangkan hasil perhitungan effect size menunjukan nilai cohen’s d sebesar 1.238 yang termasuk kriteria ‘tinggi’. Maka dapat disimpulkan pembelajaran menggunakan aplikasi bahan ajar multi representasi dinamik berbasis android efektif terhadap meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa. The aim of this research is developing dynamic multi representation instructional materials based on Android and see the impact on student learning outcomes. The study took place in high school class X, involving two classes to become an experimental class and control class. The Instructional material application was developed by Research and development (R&D) methode. Quasi experiment design was used to measure the increasing of learning outcomes. The data outcomes are result of post-test and pre-test . Teaching materials created using verbal, images, animation, video, and mathematical equations representation mode. The development of instructional materials based on android application itself uses Adobe Flash CS6 with final format application is .apk. Learning outcome is calculated using N-gain normalized, while the effectiveness of the application using was calculated with effect size equation. The results show the value of N-gain experimental class of 0.713 are categorized as 'high' and the control class had 0.363 or categorized as 'low'. Whereas the effect size calculation results show the value of cohen’s d is 1.238 which categorized as 'high'. So we can conclude learning using teaching materials application android-based dynamic multi representation effective in improving student learning outcomes.
