Abstract

Sungai merupakan suatu sistem yang dinamik yang memberikan respon terhadap aktivitas alami dan manusia untuk mencapai keseimbangan yang baru. Aliran sungai ini biasanya menyebabkan kerusakan di sekitar belokan sungai. Kerusakan itu dapat berupa gerusan dinding luar belokan sungai, degradasi dasar saluran serta agradasi di sisi belokan dalam sungai. Sehingga untuk memproteksi dinding pada belokan sungai akibat aliran air yang cukup kuat yang menyebabkan gerusan pada dinding sungai dilakukan pemasangan krib impermeabel. Penelitian dilakukan dengan uji model fisik pada saluran terbuka. Sungai dan krib impermeabel di lakukan pemodelan dengan model distorsi dimana skala horizontal 1 : 50 dan skala vertikal 1:30. Debit aliran, jarak dan sudut pemasangan krib divariasikan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa pemasangan krib impermeabel pada belokan sungai dapat mengurangi gerusan dinding sungai secara signifikan. Posisi krib impermeabel yang efektif untuk memproteksi dinding sungai adalah dengan sudut 130° condong ke hilir. Jarak pemasangan krib yang paling baik adalah dengan jarak 0,375 B (dengan B lebar saluran).;-- River is a dynamic system that give response to natural activity and human to reach the new balance. The River flow usually causing damage in the river bend. The damage is in form of scouring in the outter side of the river bend, the degradation of the base of the canal and the agradation in the side of the inner river bend. In the order to protect the river wall in the river bend as the result of the strong river flow that caused damage to the river wall is using impermeable groyne. The research is using physical model experiment in open channel. The modeling of River and impermeable groyne are scaling with distorted model which 1 : 50 horizontal scale and 1:30 vertical scale. The discharge, distance and the angle of groyne are varying. The result of the research is show that the impermeable groyne installation inclined to the upstream, perpendicular to the flow and inclined to the downstream in the river bend can decrease the scouring in the river wall and can protect the river wall. The effective angle of the impermeable groyne position is 130° inclined to the downstream. And the best groyne distance is 0,375B (with B is the width of channel)
