Abstract

Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui pengaruh outdoor education terhadap personal dan social responsibility pada siswa, juga melihat perbedaan pada kedua kelompok sampel. Program outdoor education yang digunakan adalah camping. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Sampel yang digunakan sebanyak 40 orang siswa SMP yang dibagi ke dalam 2 kelompok, 20 siswa kelompok ekperimen dan 20 siswa kelompok kontrol. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah skala sikap bertanggung jawab. Analisis data menggunakan uji t berpasangan atau Paired sample t test untuk melihat pengaruh perlakuan yang diberikan, dan independent sample t test untuk melihat perbedaan antara kedua kelompok sampel. Analisis dilakukan pada taraf signifikansi α = 0,05. Berdasarkan analisis dan pengolahan data, diperoleh hasil personal responsibility dengan t = 2,656 dan sig = 0,016 < 0,05, sedangkan untuk hasil social responsibility dengan t = 2,737 dan sig = 0,013 < 0,05. Untuk perbedaan antara kelompok sampel pada personal responsibility diperoleh nilai t = 2,068 dan sig = 0,041 < 0,05, sedangkan untuk social responsibility diperoleh nilai t = 5,415 dan sig = 0,000 < 0,05. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukan terdapat pengaruh yang signifikan outdoor education terhadap personal dan social responsibility siswa. Terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara kelompok eksperimen dan kontrol. ;---The purpose of this research was to determine the effect of outdoor education on personal and social responsibility in students, also see the difference in the two groups of samples. Outdoor education program used is camping. This study used an experimental method with quantitative approach. Samples used as many as 40 junior high students were divided into two groups, 20 students experimental group and 20 control group students. The instrument used in this study is responsible attitude scale. Data analysis using paired t test or paired sample t test to see the effects of the treatment given, and independent sample t test to see the difference between the two groups of samples. Analysis was performed at significance level α = 0.05. Based on data analysis and processing, the result of personal responsibility with t = 2.656 and sig = 0.016 < 0.05, while for the results of social responsibility with t = 2.737 and sig = 0.013 < 0.05. For differences between the groups in the sample obtained by personal responsibility with t = 2.068 and sig = 0.041 < 0.05, while for social responsibility with t = 5.415 and sig = 0.000 < 0.05. These results indicate a significant influence on the outdoor education students' personal and social responsibility. There are significant differences between the experimental and control groups.
