Abstract

Penelitian ini bertujuan mengembangkan dan menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran strategi 5MT (mengamati, menanya, membaca, menalar, mengomunikasikan, tes) atau (SQRACT=survei, question, read, association, communicating, and test) selanjutnya disebut strategi 5MT (SQRACT) berbasis dimensi proses kognitif untuk meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman wacana ilmiah. Penelitian dilakukan menggunakan metode Reseacrh & Development, meliputi tiga tahap yaitu tahap perencanaan, tahap pengembangan, dan tahap pelaksanaan. Dari tahap perencanaan dihasilkan data analisis kebutuhan guru dan siswa yang kemudian digunakan sebagai dasar pengembangan rancangan model strategi pembelajaran yang akan dikembangkan. Pada tahap pengembangan dihasilkan model strategi 5MT (SQRACT) berbasis dimensi proses kognitif dan instrumen pengukuran hasil pembelajaran. Pada tahap pelaksanaan diterapkan model pembelajaran menggunakan strategi 5MT (SQRACT) berbasis dimensi proses kognitif dengan subjek penelitian sebanyak 120 orang yang mewakili siswa kelas X SMAN Ciparay Kabupaten Bandung Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016 yang dipilih secara purposive sample. Pada tahap ini pun dilakukan pengukuran dampak pembelajaran dan ketercapaian tujuan pengembangan model. Pengukuran uji coba model menggunakan strata sikap ilmiah tinggi dan rendah. Hasil implementasi menunjukkan bahwa kemampuan membaca pemahaman wacana ilmiah antara kelompok kontrol yang tidak diberi perlakuan strategi 5MT (SQRACT) berbasis dimensi proses kognitif dengan kelompok eksperimen yang diberi perlakuan strategi 5MT (SQRACT) berbasis dimensi proses kognitif terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan sebesar 0,005 < 0,05. Sedangkan apabila melihat hasil belajar membaca pemahaman wacana ilmiah diperoleh perbedaan yang signifikan sebesar 0,009 < 0,05 antara kelompok siswa yang memiliki sikap ilmiah tinggi dan siswa yang memiliki sikap ilmiah rendah, dan apabila melihat hubungan antara kemampuan membaca pemahaman wacana ilmiah dengan sikap ilmiah tidak terdapat hubungan yang signifikan 0,985 > 0,05. Dengan demikian yang penulis kembangkan strategi 5MT(SQRACT) berbasis dimensi proses kognitif dapat meningkatkan kemampuan membaca pemahaman sekaligus meningkatkan kemampuan berpikir High Order Thinking siswa kelas X SMAN Ciparay Kabupaten Bandung Tahun Pelajaran 2015/2016. ; This study aims to develop and test the effectiveness of the strategy learning model 5MT (mengamati, menanya, membaca, menalar, mengomunikasikan, dan tes) (SQRACT= survey, question, read, association, communicating, and test)) based on the dimension of the cognitive processes to improve reading comprehension of scientific discourse. The study was conducted using the method Reseacrh & Development, includes three phases: the planning, the development, and implementation stages. From the stage planning generated needs analysis of teachers and students are then used as the basis for the development of learning models, and generated design learning strategies will be developed. At this stage of the development strategy model produced 5MT (SQRACT) based dimension of cognitive processes and learning outcomes measurement instruments. During the implementation phase applied learning models using strategies 5MT (SQRACT) based on the dimensions of cognitive processes with the study subjects were 120 students of class X SMAN Ciparay Bandung District Academic Year 2015/2016 elected purposive sample. At this stage too carried out measuring the impact of learning and achievement of the goal of developing a model. The trial models using a quasi-experimental one-group pretest-posttest design. The implementation results showed that reading comprehension of scientific discourse among a control group of untreated strategy 5MT (SQRACT) based on the dimensions of cognitive processes with the experimental group treated strategy 5MT (SQRACT) based dimension of cognitive processes there is a significant difference of 0.005 <0.05. While learning to read when they see the results of scientific discourse understanding gained significant difference of 0.009 <0.05 between groups of students who have high scientific attitude and students who have low scientific attitude, and if the relationship between reading comprehension of scientific discourse with a scientific attitude is not there a significant relationship 0.985> 0.05. Thus the authors develop a strategy 5MT (SQRACT) based on the dimensions of the cognitive process can improve reading comprehension while enhancing the ability to think of High Order Thinking class X SMAN Ciparay Bandung regency in the academic year 2015/2016
