Abstract

Minat kunjung siswa ke perpustakaan masih rendah, hal ini mendapatkan penanganan langsung oleh pihak perpustakaan, salah satunya dengan mengadakan program upaya peningkatan minat kunjung. Penelitian ini menggambarkan hubungan antara program 15 membaca dengan minat kunjung siswa ke perpustakaan di Perpustakaan SMP Negeri 15 Bandung, yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui seberapa besar hubungan antara kedua variabel tersebut. Permasalahan yang dikaji pada penelitian ini (1) apakah terdapat hubungan antara program 15 Membaca dengan minat kunjung siswa ke perpustakaan; (2) bagaimana gambaran pelaksanaan program 15 Membaca; (3) bagaimana gambaran minat kunjung siswa dengan adanya pelaksanaan program 15 membaca. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode deskriptif korelasional. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan instrumen penelitian berupa angket. Teknik pengambilan sampel yang digunakan adalah simple random sampling dengan jumlah sampel 78 orang. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian diketahui program 15 Membaca memiliki hubungan yang sangat kuat dengan minat kunjung siswa ke perpustakaan. Secara khusus hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa gambaran pelaksanaan program 15 Membaca berada pada kategori baik dan gambaran minat kunjung siswa dengan adanya pelaksanaan program 15 Membaca pada kategori baik. ;---The present portrays relations between 15 membaca program and students’ visiting intent to library at SMP Negeri 15 Bandung which target is to know the relationship value between the two variables. The quantity of students visit to library are very low should be got special treatment from the library, one of it is by held a program related to the effort for increased of visitor’s interest. The problems being researched in this present are (1) Is there any relation between 15 Membaca program with the student’s interest to visit library; (2) How is the description of the implementation of 15 Membaca programme; (3) How is the description of student’s interest to visit with the implementation of 15 Membaca programme. The research uses correlational descriptive method with quantitative approach. Data collecting is done by questionnaire. Sampling is simple random sampling with total participants of 78 people. Based on the result and data analysis, it is known that 15 membaca program has a strong relationship with students’ visiting intent to library with value of correlation co-efficiency. The analysis also shows that there is a significant relation between 15 membaca program with students’ visiting intent to library at SMP Negeri 15 Bandung. It is based on the calculation result that the total value of significance variable X and variable Y is of good categories.
