Abstract
Penelitian ini berjudul “Studi Komparasi Implementasi Soft Total Quality Management pada Sekolah Menengah Atas dan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri di Kota Bandung”. Latarbelakang penelitian ini adalah adanya perbedaan pencapaian mutu antara SMA dan SMK Negeri di Kota Bandung berdasarkan perolehan nilai akreditasi dan sertifikat SMM ISO 9001:2008. Tujuan dari penelitian ini untuk memperoleh gambaran yang jelas mengenai perbedaan implementasi soft TQM pada SMA dan SMK Negeri di Kota Bandung. Sumber data dalam penelitian ini adalah guru SMA dan SMK Negeri di Kota Bandung yang berjumlah 150 responden, dengan rincian 63 guru pada SMA Negeri dan 87 guru pada SMK Negeri. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan menggunakan angket tertutup dengan lima skala penilaian (Likert). Sedangkan pengolahan data dilakukan menggunakan Microsoft Excel 2010 dan SPSS versi 21.0. Adapun rumus yang digunakan dalam membandingkan antara implementasi Soft Total Quality Management pada SMA dan SMK Negeri adalah rumus uji t/t-test untuk dua pihak. Hasil pengolahan data yang dihitung dengan menggunakan teknik WMS (Weight Means Score) menunjukkan bahwa rata-rata kecenderungan umum untuk variabel X1 (implementasi Soft Total Quality Management pada SMA Negeri) berada pada kategori Tinggi dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 3,81. Sedangkan untuk variabel X2 (implementasi Soft Total Quality Management pada SMK Negeri) berada pada kategori Tinggi dengan skor rata-rata sebesar 3,96. Dari hasil uji normalitas distribusi data, diketahui bahwa kedua berdistribusi normal, maka uji hipotesis menggunakan statistik parametrik. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan t-test menunjukkan nilai signifikansi atau Sig. (2-tailled) > 0,05 dengan tingkat kepercayaan 95% (0,981 > 0,05). Dengan demikian hipotesis yang diajukan penelitian ditolak. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian tersebut, secara keseluruhan dapat disimpulkan bahwa secara statistik “tidak terdapat perbedaan yang signifikan antara implementasi Soft Total Quality Management (TQM) pada Sekolah Menengah Atas Negeri dan Sekolah Menengah Kejuruan Negeri di Kota Bandung”.;---This research entitled “Comparative Study of Soft Total Quality Management Implementation in State Senior High School and State Vocational High School in Bandung City”. The background of this research was the differentiation of quality achievement in State Senior High School and State Vocational High School in Bandung City based on the result value of accreditation and SMM ISO 9001:2008 certificate. The aim of this study is to obtain the actual picture of the differentiation of soft TQM implementation in State Senior High School and State Vocational High School in Bandung City. The sample of this research is 150 teachers of State Senior High School and State Vocational High School’s in Bandung City, which 63 teachers of State Senior High School and 87 teachers of State Vocational High School. The method used in this research is descriptive method with a quantitative approach. While the data collection techniques used through the questionnaire enclosed with a five rating scale (Likert). The numerical processing software that used in this research was Microsoft Excel 2010 dan SPSS versi 21.0. The formula of t-test was used to compare between soft TQM implementation in State Senior High School and State Vocational High School in Bandung City. The processing result of WMS (Weight Means Score) showed that the average general tendency for variable X1 (soft TQM implementation in State Senior High School) is in High category with the score average is 3,81. Meanwhile, variable X1 (soft TQM implementation in State Vocational High School) is in High category with the score average is 3,96. From the normality test result, it is known that both variable are normally distributed, so that parametric statistic was used to test the hypothesis. The result of hypothesis test by used t-test showed that significant value or Sig. (2-tailled) > 0,05 with 95% credibility (0,981 > 0,05). Therefore, the hypothesis was rejected. Based on the result, overall, it can be concluded statistically that, “there is no significant difference between soft total quality management implementation in State Senior High School and State Vocational High School in Bandung City.”
