Abstract
Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh anggapan tentang adanya gejala perbedaan standar kesantunan di antara civitas academika yang relatif heterogen secara sosial dan kultural dalam setiap acara yang dilaksanakan. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk menunjukkan bagaimana strategi tuturan pembawa acara pada salah satu episode gelar wicara Gerakan Masyarakat Mandiri (Gemari) di TVRI Jawa Barat, yaitu acara Pelepasan Mahasiswa Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Tematik Posko Pemberdayaan Keluarga (Posdaya) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI) Tahun 2013. Peneliti menggunakan metode deskriptif yang menyertakan unsur-unsur etnografi komunikasi. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dari hasil transkripsi data rekaman yang menunjukkan data sebagai berikut: terdapat 229 tuturan yang terdiri atas 143 tuturan pembawa acara dan 86 tuturan yang merupakan tuturan peserta tutur lainnya. Tuturan pembawa acara (PA) yang dijadikan data penelitian terdiri atas 111 tuturan pembawa acara pertama (PA 1) dan 32 tuturan pembawa acara kedua (PA 2). Data penelitian dianalisis berdasarkan tiga pertanyaan penelitian berikut: (1) bentuk tuturan diklasifikasikan berdasarkan kategori tuturan serta kesesuaian antara maksud dan makna tuturan; (2) fungsi tuturan PA dideskripsikan melalui pelbagai bentuk tuturan; (3) strategi kesantunan PA dideskripsikan dengan melihat realisasi kesantunan berbahasa yang dikaitkan dengan ciri linguistik dan upaya pematuhan pada prinsip kesantunan berbahasa Leech (1993). Peneliti mendapatkan 6 bentuk tuturan PA dalam gelar wicara Gemari, yaitu asertif, direktif, ekspresif, komisif, deklarasi, dan interogatif. Dari keenam bentuk tuturan tersebut terdapat 15 fungsi tuturan berikut: saran, perintah, permintaan, permohonan, persilaan, perekomendasian, penawaran, salam, informasi, persetujuan, permintaan pendapat, permintaan keterangan, dan kesiapan. Strategi kesantunan PA dapat dilakukan dengan memerhatikan panjang-pendek tuturan, urutan tuturan, intonasi tuturan dan isyarat-isyarat kinesik, ungkapan penanda kesantunan, serta pematuhan pada prinsip kesantunan berbahasa Leech (1993). Hasil analisis dan pembahasan dari ketiga pertanyaan penelitian tersebut dapat digunakan untuk menjelaskan upaya meningkatkan kemampuan PA dalam mengantisipasi adanya tuturan yang menyebabkan orang lain merasa tercoreng muka.;--- This research is motivated by the assumption of the presence of symptoms different standards of modesty among the academic community relatively heterogeneous socially and culturally in each event held. The purpose of this research is to show how the strategy utterances host for one episode Speech Gerakan Masyarakat Mandiri (Gemari) in TVRI West Java, which shows the release of Student of Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) Tematik Posko Pemberdayaan Keluarga (Posdaya) Universitas Pendidikan Indonesia (UPI), year of 2013. The researchers used descriptive method which includes elements of ethnography of communication. Data collection was carried out of the results of the data transcription tape shows the following data: There are 229 utterances consisting of 143 utterances emcee and 86 utterances which are utterances of other participants. Emcee speech or Pembawa Acara (PA) were used as research data consisted of 111 utterances first emcee (PA 1) and 32 second speech emcee (PA 2). Data were analyzed by the following three research questions: (1) forms of speech are classified by category of speech as well as the compatibility between the intent and meaning of utterances; (2) PA speech function is described through various forms of speech; (3) AT politeness strategies described by looking at the realization of politeness that is associated with linguistic characteristics and make compliance to the principle of politeness Leech (1993). Researchers get 6 APA forms of speech in the speech degree Gemari, namely assertive, directive, expressive, commissive, declarations, and interrogative. From the six forms of speech , there are 15 function following utterances: advice, orders, requests, pleas, invitation, recommendation, offers, greetings, information, consent, for comments, inquiries, and readiness. PA politeness strategies can be done by paying attention to long-short of its speech, a sequence of speech, speech intonation and kinesik gestures, politeness marker expression, as well as adherence to the principle of politeness Leech (1993). The Result of analysis and discussion of the three questions of the research can be used to describe efforts to improve the ability of the PA to anticipate their speech that causes others to feel offended.
