Abstract

. Kata kunci: FBG, Panjang Gelombang Bragg, Suhu FBG. Fiber Bragg Grating (FBG) is an optical fiber that has a periodic variation in the refractive index distributed in the form of lattice. FBG wavelength shifts when the portion of the grid lattice spacing changes due to temperature changes in the received fiber optics. This study was conducted to determine the performance of FBG Bragg wavelength shift due to the influence of temperature changes. FBG temperature conditioned at 30ºC to 59ºC (the temperature conditions at elevated FBG) and 59ºC to 30ºC (FBG lowered temperature conditions). Wavelength values are recorded every 1ºC change in temperature. Data have been obtained from the experiment was then analyzed to determine the performance of the FBG. Some of the parameters analyzed were: linearity, sensitivity, precision (presicion), accuracy, and repeatability. Of activity of this study it can be concluded that changes in temperature affect the FBG Bragg wavelength changes. By varying the temperature change has increased and decreased, resulting in good precision, high accuracy, strong linearity, sensitivity, and has the repeatability. The test results of the two types of FBG with different wavelength spectrum shows similar results in terms of the effect of different temperatures on the performance of both.. . Keywords: FBG, Bragg Wavelength, Temperature FBG.
