Abstract

Sekolah merupakan pelaksana penyelenggara proses pendidikan yang memiliki tujuan mencerdaskan kehidupan bangsa, sehingga mampu mensejajarkan dan berdaya saing dalam era globalisasi. Kenyataannya masih ada sekolah yang belum melaksanakan fungsi sekolah secara optimal. Masalah pokok dalam penelitian ini adalah bagaimana gambaran empirik kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah, kinerja mengajar guru, mutu sekolah, dan pengaruh kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah dan kinerja mengajar guru terhadap mutu Sekolah Dasar di Kecamatan Cimahi Utara. Penelitian dilakukan di Sekolah Dasar se-Kecamatan Cimahi Utara sebanyak 31 sekolah. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Data yang digunakan adalah data primer dengan cara menyebarkan kuesioner/angket tertutup kepada responden yaitu kepala sekolah, guru, dan komite sekolah yang diambil secara total sampling. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis regresi, korelasi, dan menguji setiap hipotesis yang telah dirumuskan. Kesimpulan hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa gambaran umum mengenai mutu sekolah tinggi, kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah berada pada kategori tinggi, dan kinerja mengajar guru berada pada kategori tinggi. Kepemimpinan visioner kepala sekolah dan kinerja mengajar guru memberikan pengaruh yang signifikan terhadap mutu sekolah dalam kategori kuat. Berdasarkan temuan, maka penulis merekomendasikan terhadap pihak-pihak yang terkait penyelenggara satuan pendidikan untuk melakukan berbagai upaya perbaikan dan peningkatan. Beberapa hal yang perlu ditingkatkan diantaranya faktor pengembangan sikap kepemimpinan dalam membuat visi yang jelas untuk peningkatan kualitas sekolah, memfasilitasi guru untuk meneruskan pendidikannya ke jenjang yang lebih tinggi, melakukan supervisi kepada guru-gurunya untuk meningkatkan kinerja para guru terutama dalam kegiatan inti/pelaksanaan proses pembelajaran di kelas sehingga berdampak terhadap peningkatan mutu sekolah.;-- The school is implementing the organizers of the educational process that has the purpose educating the nation, so as to align and competitive in the era of globalization. In fact there are schools that have not implemented the school function optimally. The underlying question in this research is how the empirical picture of the visionary leadership of principals, teachers teaching performance, quality of schools, and the influence of visionary leadership of school principals and teachers' teaching performance against the quality of elementary schools in the District of North Cimahi. The study was conducted in elementary schools Cimahi Utara sub-district as many as 31 schools. The method used is descriptive method with quantitative approach. The data used are primary data by distributing questionnaires / questionnaire enclosed to the respondents, the principal, teachers, and school committees are taken by total sampling. Data was analyzed using regression analysis, correlation, and test each hypothesis has been formulated. Conclusion The results of the study found that the general picture of the quality of high school, the visionary leadership of the principal at the high category, and the performance of teachers to teach at the high category. Visionary leadership of school principals and teachers' teaching performance have a significant influence on the quality of schools in the strong category. Based on the findings, the authors recommend against related parties organizing educational unit to perform a variety of efforts to improve and increase. Some things need to be improved among the factors the development of attitudes of leadership in making a clear vision for school improvement, facilitating teachers to continue their education to a higher level, to supervise the teachers to improve the performance of teachers especially in core activities / implementation of the learning process in the classroom so the impact on school improvement.
