Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan rendahnya kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan penalaran matematis siswa. Pemahaman konsep merupakan landasan penting untuk berpikir dalam menyelesaikan permasalahan matematika. Sedangkan penalaran matematis adalah pondasi untuk mendapatkan pengetahuan matematika. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menelaah peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan penalaran matematis siswa dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT berbantuan media game online. Penelitian ini merupakan studi kuasi eksperimen dengan desain penelitian pretest posttest control group design. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa kelas V SDN Ganeas I sebagai kelompok eksperimen dan siswa kelas V SDN Talagakulon I sebagai kelompok kontrol. Kelompok eksperimen memperoleh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT berbantuan media game online dan kelompok kontrol memperoleh pembelajaran langsung (direct instruction). Instrumen penelitian yang digunakan adalah tes kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan penalaran matematis. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa 1) Tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT berbantuan media game online dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung. 2) Tidak terdapat perbedaan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT berbantuan media game online dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung. 3) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan pemahaman konsep matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT berbantuan media game online dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung. 4) Terdapat perbedaan peningkatan kemampuan penalaran matematis siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT berbantuan media game online dengan siswa yang memperoleh pembelajaran langsung. Berdasarkan hasil tersebut dapat dibuat kesimpulan bahwa pembelajaran kooperatif tipe TGT berbantuan media game online dapat meningkatkan kemampuan pemahaman konsep dan penalaran matematis siswa. ; This research is motivated by the problems of students low ability of mathematical conceptual undesatanding and mathematical reasoning. Mathematical understanding is an important basis of thinking in solving mathematical problems. Mathematical reasoning is the foundation for the construction of mathematical knowledge. Therefore the aim of this research was to study an increase in students’ mathematical conceptual understanding and reasoning abilities using the TGT type of cooperative learning model assisted by online game media. It is a quasi-experimental study with the pretest posttest control group design. The subjects consisted of the fifth grade students of SDN Ganeas I as the experimental group and the fifth grade students of SDN Talagakulon I as the control group. The experimental group was taught with the TGT type of cooperative learning assisted by online game media and the control group was taught with direct instruction. The research instrument used was a test of mathematical conceptual understanding and mathematical reasoning abilities. The findings show that: 1) There was no difference in the mathematical conceptual understanding ability of students treated with the TGT type of cooperative learning assisted by online game and those with direct instruction; 2) There was no difference in the mathematical reasoning ability of students treated with the TGT type of cooperative learning assisted by online game and those with direct instruction; 3) There was a difference in the increased mathematical conceptual understanding ability between students treated with the TGT type of cooperative learning assisted by online game and those with direct instruction; and 4) There was a difference in the increased mathematical reasoning ability between students treated with the TGT type of cooperative learning assisted by online game media and those taught with direct instruction. From these results can be concluded that the TGT type of cooperative learning assisted by online game media can improve the ability of mathematical conceptual understanding and mathematical reasoning of students.
