Abstract

Full day school adalah sistem pendidikan yang sengaja dirancang untuk menjawab tuntutan berbagai kalangan masyarakat, khususnya para orang tua yang mengkhawatirkan pergaulan sosial zaman sekarang dan lebih memilih agar anak mereka mempunyai waktu belajar lebih lama. Permasalahan yang terjadi, dengan anak bersekolah di full day school intensitas waktu anak untuk berinteraksi dan bersosialisasi dengan keluarga dan lingkungan masyarakatnya menjadi berkurang dan terhambat. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk mengetahui ada tidaknya pengaruh dari pelaksanaan full day school terhadap proses interaksi dan sosialisasi anak di lingkungan masyarakatnya. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode penelitian campuran yang menggabungkan antara penelitian kuantitatif dengan penelitian kualitatif dengan alat pengumpulan datanya yaitu dengan angket, wawancara, observasi, serta dokumentasi. Responden dalam penelitian ini yaitu siswa kelas VIII SMP Islam Terpadu As Su’adaa Bekasi. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa: (1) Pelaksanaan sistem full day school di SMP Islam Terpadu As Su’adaa Bekasi berada pada kategori cukup baik. (2) Perkembangan proses interaksi sosial anak di lingkungan masyarakat berada pada kategori cukup baik. (3) Perkembangan proses sosialisasi anak di lingkungan masyarakat berada pada kategori cukup baik. (4) Pelaksanaan full day school memberikan pengaruh sebesar 43% terhadap proses interaksi sosial anak di lingkungan masyarakat, dimana lebih besar pengaruhnya kepada anak perempuan dibandingkan kepada anak laki-laki. Anak laki-laki dapat lebih mudah bergaul dan berkomunikasi dengan teman-teman dan orang-orang di sekitarnya, sedangkan anak perempuan lebih memilih untuk berdiam diri di rumah daripada bergaul dengan orang-orang di sekitarnya. (5) Pelaksanaan full day school memberikan pengaruh sebesar 26% terhadap proses sosialisasi anak di lingkungan masyarakat, dimana keterbatasan waktu anak untuk berada di rumah dan kondisi lingkungan anak memengaruhi kemampuan sosialisasi anak dengan orang-orang di lingkungannya. ; Full day school is the education system that is designed to address the demands of society, especially for parents who worry about social interaction and prefer that their children have a longer learning time today. The problem that occur the children who are attending full day school is difficult to interact and socialize with her family and community because their time become reduced and it inhibits their socialization. The purpose of this study is to determine the effect of the implementation of full day school on the process of interaction and socialization of children in a community. This study uses a mixed method research that combines quantitative research and qualitative research with data collection tool that is by questionnaires, interviews, observation, and documentation. Respondents in this study are students in Integrated Islamic Junior High School of As Sua’daa Bekasi. The results showed that: (1) Implementation of the full day school in Integrated Islamic Junior High School of As Sua’daa Bekasi are in a good category. (2) The development process of a children’s social interaction in communities are in good category too. (3) The development process of children’s socialization in communities are in a good category. (4) The implementation of full day school give an influence about 43% on the process of children social interaction in society, where the greater influence are given to girls than boys. The boys can be easy to interact and communicate with friends and people around him, while girls prefer to stay home rather than hang out with the people around her. (5) The implementation of full day school provides a 26% influence on the process of children’s socialization in society, where is a child’s limits time to be at home and the their neighborhood give effect to children’s social skills with the people in their surroundings.
