Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh fenomena Perpustakaan Sekolah di Indonesia yang sebagian besar belum dikelola oleh tenaga profesional yang kompeten. Masalah yang menjadi kajian dalam penelitian ini difokuskan kepada hubungan pemahaman kepustakawanan dengan kreativitas pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui : 1) hubungan pemahaman kepustakawanan dengan kreativitas pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah; 2) gambaran pemahaman kepustakawanan yang dimiliki oleh Guru Pustakawan ; 3) gambaran kreativitas pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah. Metode penelitian yang digunakan adalah metode deskriptif korelasional dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Guru Pustakawan SMPN di Kota Bandung, dengan sampel sebanyak 30 orang. Teknik pengumpulan data menggunakan angket tertutup dengan skala Likert dengan analisis data menggunakan analisis korelasi. Untuk mengetahui hubungan pemahaman kepustakawanan dengan kreativitas pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah digunakan rumus Rank Spearman. Berdasarkan hasil analisis data dapat diketahui bahwa: 1) terdapat hubungan yang sangat kuat antara pemahaman kepustakawanan dengan kreativitas pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah dengan koefisien korelasi sebesar 0,822; 2) pemahaman kepustakawanan yang dimiliki oleh Guru Pustakawan tergolong ke dalam kategori baik; dan 3) kreativitas pengelolaan perpustakaan sekolah oleh Guru Pustakawan termasuk ke dalam kategori baik. Dengan demikian dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat hubungan sangat kuat;---This research was motivated by the phenomenon of School Library in Indonesia which is mostly not managed by competent professionals. The problems to be studied in this research is focused on relationship of understanding of librarianship with creativity of school library management. The purpose of this study was to determine: 1) the relationship between understanding of librarianship with creativity of school library management; 2) understanding description of librarianship owned by teacher librarian; 3) creativity description of school library management. The method used is descriptive correlational method with quantitative approach. The population in this study is a grup of Teacher Librarians of junior high school in the city of Bandung which totaled 54 persons, with a sample consist of 30 persons. The method of collecting data using a closed questionnaire with Likert scale with data analysis used correlation analysis. To determine the understanding relationship of librarianship with creativity of school library management used Rank Spearman formula. Based on the results of data analysis it shows that: 1) there is a very strong relationship between the understanding of librarianship with creativity of school library management with a correlation coefficient of 0,822; 2) outline an understanding of tlibrarianship owned by teacher librarian classified into either category; and 3) creativity of school library management conducted by Teacher Librarian included in either category. It can be concluded that there is a very strong relationship between the understanding of librarianship with creativity of school library management.
