Abstract

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengetahui proses pembelajaran menggunakan model example non example, profil kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis siswa yang pembelajarannya menggunakan model example non example, dan respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika menggunakan dengan model example non example. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan penelitian kualitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan teknik triangulasi berupa observasi, wawancara, dan studi dokumentasi. Model pembelajaran example non example pada penelitian ini dilakukan pada siswa kelas VII di Sekolah Indonesia Singapura sebanyak 15 siswa dengan materi himpunan sebanyak dua kali pertemuan. Sebelum pelaksanaan pembelajaran, terlebih dulu dibuat perencanaan menggunakan Rencana Pelaksanaan Pembelajaran (RPP). Lalu dilakukan pembelajaran sesuai dengan RPP yang telah dibuat, proses pembelajaran mengalami hambatan pada pertemuan pertama yaitu adanya kelompok yang pasif dan tidak antusias tetapi terkendali saat pertemuan kedua. Profil berpikir kritis matematis dalam penilitian ini dilihat dari kemampuannya untuk menyimpulkan dari informasi yang didapat, kemampuan mengungkap hasil observasi untuk menjawab pertanyaan dan kemampuan memberikan argumen yang logis, relevan, dan akurat. Profil tersebut menggambarkan hasil tes sesudah dan sebelum dilakukannya pembelajaran dengan menggunakan model example non example yang dideskripsikan per individu pada tiap soal apakah ada perubahan atau tidak dan hasilnya heterogen yaitu sebagian besar siswa mengalami perubahan ke yang lebih baik dan ada pula yang tetap stabil. Respon siswa terhadap pembelajaran matematika dengan menggunakan model pembelajaran example non example dan soal-soal kemampuan berpikir kritis matematis tergolong kuat.;--- The purpose of this research was to determine the learning process using example non example model, profile of students’ mathematic critical thinking which learning using example non example model, and the students' response to the learning of mathematics using example non example model. This research was conducted using qualitative research. Collecting data using triangulation techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The learning using example non example in this research conducted to 7th grade in Singapore Indonesian School as many as 15 students with set material in two meetings. Prior to the implementation of learning first made planning using lesson plan. Then the learning is done in accordance with the lesson plan that has been made, the process of learning obstacles at the first meeting that the group is passive and does not enthusiastic but restrained when the second meeting. Profile of students’ mathematic critical thinking in this research views from ability to conclude from the information obtained, the ability to reveal the results of observations to answer questions and the ability to provide an argument that logic , relevant, and accurate. The profile describes the results of tests done before and after the study by using example non example model described per individual on each question whether there are changes or not and the result of heterogeneous that most students have change to the better, and some are still stable. The response of students towards learning mathematics by using example non example model and question of mathematic ciritical thinking relatively strong.
