Abstract
Permasalahan dalam penelitian ini yaitu pertumbuhan laba pengusaha yang cendurung menurun akibat dari adanya berbagai faktor, baik faktor persaingan, modal kerja, volume penjualan, perilaku kewirausahaan sampai tingginya harga bahan baku. Faktor-faktor tersebut diidentifikasi menjadi penyebab turunnya pertumbuhan laba pengusaha, terutama faktor persaingan dan modal kerja pengusaha itu sendiri. Dalam penelitian ini yang menjadi objek penelitian yaitu pengusaha genteng di Kota Cilegon Provinsi Banten. Sampel sebanyak 74 pengusaha. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini yaitu survey eksplanatory dengan menggunakan angket sebagai alat pengumpul data dan teknik menggunakan regresi linier berganda. Dalam analisis data menggunakan bantuan program Statistics SPSS 20. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian dan analisis data diperoleh temuan bahwa persaingan berada pada katagori tinggi, sedangkan modal kerja dan laba berada pada katagori rendah. Secara parsial variabel persaingan berpengaruh negatif dan signifikan terhadap laba, sedangkan modal kerja berpengaruh positif dan signifikan terhadap laba pengusaha genteng.--------- The problem of this study is the decrease of entrepreneurs’ profit which is caused by many factors, including competition, working capital, sale volume, entrepreneurship position, and raw material cost. The factors above are identified be the effect of decreasing in entrepreneurs’ profit especially competition and working capital factors itself. In this study, the sample is roof-tile entrepreneurs in Cilegon province Banten. The sample is 74 entrepreneurs. The method used in this study is explanatory survey which is questionnaire. Questionnaire is used to collect the data which the technique is multiple linear regressions. Furthermore, the analysis of data is used SPSS Statistics Program 20. Based on the data analysis and the result of study, it shows that competition is in high category, whereas working capital and profit are in the low categories. Furthermore, Based on partial variable, competition makes significant effect on roof-tile entrepreneurs’ profit. Then the working capital makes positive significant effect on roof-tile entrepreneurs’ profit.
