Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh permasalahan di SMALB Kota Bandung dalam pembelajaran keterampilan otomotif yaitu mengenai kemampuan siswa SMALB Kota Bandung dalam keterampilan otomotif yang belum terampil disebabkan karena proses pembelajaran yang berlangsung di SMALB belum optimal. Subjek penelitian ini adalah siswa tunarungu maka dari itu terhambatnya faktor komunikasi pada siswa tunarungu merupakan salah satu penyebab belum optimalnya pembelajaran keterampilan otomotif yang dilaksanakan di SMALB Kota Bandung dan pemilihan metode pembelajaran yang kurang tepat sehingga kemampuan keterampilan siswa tunarungu tidak berkembang. Keterampilan otomotif yang diteliti pada penelitian ini adalah kemampuan keterampilan siswa tunarungu dalam keterampilan penyetelan karburator pada sepeda motor dianggap lebih mudah diserap oleh siswa tunarungu. Metode penelitian yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah metode penelitian subjek tunggal (Single Subject Research), metode penelitian subjek tunggal bertujuan untuk memodifikasi perilaku, dimana pengambilan dan pengolahan data dalam metode ini difokuskan untuk melihat perubahan perilaku subjek, apakah ada atau tidaknya pengaruh intervensi terhadap target behavior dalam fase yang telah ditentukan. Desain penelitian menggunakan desain reversal tipe A-B-A, dimana pengukuran fase baseline diulang dua kali. Fase baseline (A1) dilakukan sebelum fase intervensi, kemudian dilakukan fase baseline (A2). Fase baseline (A1), fase baseline (A2) dan fase intervensi dilakukan sebanyak empat kali. Penelitian dilakukan terhadap anak tunarungu di SMALB Kota Bandung, berdasarkan hasil penelitian pelaksanaan keterampilan otomotif menggunakan metode demonstrasi mengalami peningkatan ketercapaian waktu belajar siswa 1 menunjukan peningkatan sebesar 848 detik dan siswa 2 menunjukan peningkatan sebesar 777 detik. Tes keterampilan pada siswa 1 menunjukan hasil pada proses kerja 1 sebesar 0%, proses kerja 2 sebesar 45%, proses kerja 3 sebesar 45,85% dan proses kerja 4 sebesar 75%. Siswa 2 dengan hasil pada proses kerja 1 sebesar 0%, proses kerja 2 sebesar 30%, proses kerja 3 sebesar 58,38%, proses kerja 4 sebesar 75%.;--- This research is based on the problem at SMALB Bandung in automotive skill learning which is about the problem of unskilled students caused by the learning process that has not been optimal at SMALB. The subject of the research is deaf students; therefore, the obstacle in communication factor is one of factors, then the choice of methods that is improper makes their skills not develop. The automotive skill that is studied in this research is the ability of deaf students in carburator setting skill on motorcycle which is easier to be learned by the deaf. Method used in this research is single subject research. It aims to modify behaviour which the taking and processing data in this research is focused to see the changes of subjec t's behaviour, and to see intervention's influence to target behaviour which has been determined. Therefore, Design of the research used is reversal design type A-B-A, which the measurement of baseline phase is repeated twice. Baseline phase (A1) is done before intervention phase, after it, the baseline phase (A) is done. Baseline phase A1 and baseline phase A2 are done fourth, whereas intervention phase is done fourth. This research concerning to hearing impairment at SMALB Bandung. Based in research output on implementation automotive skill used demontration metode, they improve the learning time, the first student improve about 848 second and the second student improve 777 second. Psikomotor test for the first student show result on process job 1 about 0 %, job 2 about 45%, job 3 about 45,85% and job 4 about 75%. The second student show result on process job 1 about 0%, job 2 about 30%, job 3 about 58,38% and job 4 75%.
