    Abstract

    Adapun tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat apakah model Outdoor Education dapat memberikan peningkatan keterampilan motorik kasar untuk pendidikan anak usia dini. Mengingat bahwa keterampilan motorik kasar pada anak menjadi titik perkembangan dasar yang akan membantu menunjang perkembangan aspek-aspek lain di kemudian harinya. Pada penelitian ini mengambil 30 anak usia 3-5 tahun di sekolah High Scope Indonesia Preschool and Kindergarten sebagai sampel penelitiannya. Penelitian dilakukan secara kuantitatif dengan metode Experimental Research kemudian menggunakan desain penelitian The Matching Only Pretest – Posttest Control Group Design. Dengan metode ini sampel penelitian dibagi kedalam dua kelompok yaitu kelompok kontrol berjumlah 15 orang dan kelompok eksperimen berjumlah 15 orang. Keterampilan motorik kasar kemudian diukur menggunakan Test of Gross Motor Development – Second Edition ( TGMD-2 ) Ulrich (2000). Data yang didapat kemudian diolah menggunakan software SPSS melalui Uji Paired Sample T Test terhadap data N Gain kedua kelompok. Hasil akhir dari penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa Outdoor Education Model tidak memberikan perbedaan yang signifikan terhadap keterampilan motorik kasar anak yang diakibatkan dari adanya faktor-faktor lain. --- The purpose of this study was to see whether the Outdoor Education Model can provide the improvement of gross motor skills of early childhood education. The child's gross motor skills at a point of basic developments will help support the development of other aspects later in the day. This research took 30 children aged 3-5 years in the High Scope Indonesia School Preschool and Kindergarten as its research sample. The study was conducted quantitatively using Experimental Research Method then designed with The Matching Only Pretest – Post test Control Group Design. With this method, the sample is divided into two groups: Control Group consists of 15 children and The Experimental Group consists of 15 children. Gross motor skills are measured using the Test of Gross Motor Development - Second Edition (TGMD-2) Ulrich (2000). The data obtained was processed using SPSS software through Paired Sample T Test Data N Gain Test against both groups. The final results of this study indicate that the Outdoor Education Model provides a not significant difference to the gross motor skills of children resulting from the existence of other factors.
